  1. I searched RC's website and the documentation requirements for minors are vague, at best, so I figured someone here may know...

My son (14) will be traveling with us on Voyager of the Seas in June 2023.   According to his mother, his passport is expired.  I have a certified copy of his birth certificate.  My question is -- what are the exact documentation requirements for traveling with a minor where both bio parents won't be travelling?  From what I read we will need:

    - Divorce decree (unknown if I need a certified copy or not)

    - Photo ID (a problem, since he does not have a photo ID...I can possibly get his passport renewed)

    - Original/certified copy of birth certificate

Is there anything more that we will need (notarized letter from his mother, etc).  I'd like to get this squared away ASAP so I'm not stressing come June 🙂

Thanks in advance for your help!

  2. If you are doing Costa Maya and Cozumel, I would wait do snorkel in Cozumel.  The water there is amazingly clear and beautiful and one of the top places to snorkel and dive in the world.  I'm not sure about the water in Costa Maya other than what I saw at the port, but it was pretty murky/full of seaweed when we were down there in July.  Cozumel was beautiful, though 🙂

  3. Greetings!

The wife and I just took our first cruise in July on Grandeur of the Seas and we are now hooked, and have another planned for Voyager of the Seas out of Galveston in June 2023 (this time with the kiddo, and in a ultimate oceanview panoramic suite!).

My name is Jeremy, and we are from Northeast Texas.  I'm a prior member of the US Coast Guard, and currently work in transportation/logistics management.  I love this blog and message board and have been lurking for about a year, but finally decided to join.

So, hello!  Hoping to make some new friends here!

Ive cruised enough and sat in enough hot tubs on board and pools and bars to witness the absurd amount of drinks people order with the plan. One guy was up to 21 drinks on my last cruise.   I think there needs to be a cut off point.  I have to disagree with you.,

    LOL...those are rookie numbers.

Between my wife and I, we had over 60 "drinks" in one day.  Like another poster said, 99% of people don't cause problems with the UDP.  Yet another person that thinks just because YOU don't like it, no one else should.
