  1. I've seen them say no to any kind in YouTube videos.
  2. I've always found it best to return to the airport and use one of the shuttle services.
  3. Thanks @USCG Teacher @loki007 for the floating mat info. Having those included in cost (and canceling the one's booked separately) brings the price down to about $100pp. It helped tip the scale to give it a try. Also, with the possibility of a second ship (Labadee rescheduling) possibly joining Icon that day, a little extra crowd control assurance will be a nice touch.
  4. Ok, so considering the beach club. 2 questions. We have a jet ski excursion for an hour at 1030am. Do you think the beach club is still worth it if we are gone for an hour? We reserved floating mats. Pick up location I know of is a bit of a walk. Should we pick up before going to Beach club? Or will someone at the beach club pick up for us?
  5. Sounds like the two wallets still could be in play in your situation. This is why I will never use an agent (was one in the 90s). I couldn't sit on the sidelines and wait for someone else to handle it for me.
  6. There are 2 wallets. One for your cruise fare and one for your planer purchases. When you buy something from the planner (excursion/drinks package/etc) and then cancel to say maybe rebook at better price. The system sometimes takes the money from your cruise fare wallet to refund your planner purchase instead of taking the money from your cruise planner wallet. This leaves your cruise fare with a mysterious balance due. Royal claims this "almost never happens", yet I read posting after posting about it. It took me 5 days of endless calls (and a lot of barking) to get mine resolved. Only supervisor's know what this is and how to fix it. Do not assume your agent will understand. Explain this possible scenario to the agent. Also explain only someone in management will understand and be able to adjust accounts. I know exactly what has happened to you. This is why I fear cancelling anything from the planner anymore. Make sure whoever calls explains the 2 wallet situation to the Royal employee.
  7. When it does, I will post here for our group. All reports are Icon being behind the rest.
  8. I would keep the bed at South beach. Happy baby, happy trip. And they come with a bit of shade too.
  9. Welcome to our little group! Sorry I can't help you with your question. I travel steerage. LOL.
  10. If you're bid is excepted, when you get notified. Do they always give you cabin number in the notification or does that come later on?
  11. In recent cruise compass under "Good to know" they are listed as L.G.B.T.Q+ get together (just checked the 2 Icon compasses that are up) I thought friends of Dorothy got dropped. I actually think they stopped using friends of Dorothy for the younger generation. Props to @lost little boy for not needing translation. LOL.
  12. It's not what it was. Don't think it ever will be again. It gets the job done, is as nice as I can put it. My biggest complaint is the quality of the fatty low low low grade beef they are using. For every one complaint on here will be 10 folks saying it's fine. It seems to be a compulsion. Take both sides with a grain of salt. Like Royals food. LOL
  13. Welcome to our little group and the Royal party. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
  14. I'll add a pair of nice shorts can look just as good as jeans. Especially in the Caribbean. But why anyone's evening revolves around what others have on is beyond my comprehension.
  15. LGBT meetings are usually held in public venues (Bars) on various nights between 10pm and 1130pm. I say "meetings" but really social get-togethers. Open to all. You can find in the app listing activities for the day/evening.
  16. I just want to see people having a good time, while being respectful of all other cruiser's. How you look, dress, etc, is not of any importance to me. How you treat fellow passengers and respect the rules of our shared experience is all that matters to me. It's your life, you get to live it, nobody else. I cruise on Royal Caribbean and that's how this passenger thinks.
  17. Way too early to worry. However, still early enough to change dates, ships, itineraries.
  18. I think you were looking at the wrong cruise line?
  19. This exactly for the MDR. #ME2 Because staff and Royal know, tips can also fit in the pockets of shorts.
  20. Always afraid of it frying something. Lots of bad stories on Amazon reviews for every adapter and converters too. Who uses one? And what devices have you used it for?
  21. I've never had The Key. (Don't think it's worth the price). I thought early boarding was one of the perks (could be wrong). I would call and ask about your board time currently vs the key. What time is the key lunch? Isn't early?
