  1. We did this last year as a family of four, it was such a waste of money. You only get 5 photos and none of them where worth the price tag, and if you want to have more than the five pictures it will cost you another fortune. Booking an excursion is such a better way to spend your money.
  2. We parked directly at the terminal and chose to go with the Covered North Lot. This is the most expensive option but we think it was worth it as the terminal was super close we barely had to walk. It was around 200 dollars for 7 days. We booked using portofgalveston.com
  3. Check your order history on the cruise planner as I don’t think it shows up in the app. If not call RCCL and sort it outwith them.
  4. I'm going on a cruise this Monday and our concierge emailed and told us that it hasn't been functional and most likely will not be for our sailing.
  5. Since there are no doors that separate the living quarters for each couple, that is an issue for privacy concerns. Although the curtain provides some level of privacy, it is not entirely opaque and does not offer complete privacy from the lower level. However, those staying on the upper level have a view of the lower level, which may not be ideal. I find the sofa bed to be pretty comfortable so I don't mind sleeping on it, but that is just my preference.
  6. Going to Alaska on Quantum this July. Any tips for a better trip?
  7. For our Alaskan cruise next month on Quantum, the Escape Room popped up on the cruise planner. I just checked and it said that there are only 8 spots left. We are in Sky Class, so we where planning to just have the concierge book it when we receive the email. Is it fine if we wait for them to book it for us, or should we just do it ourselves? Thanks
  8. For anyone who has seen the Starwater show on Quantum OTS, is it appropriate for kids? And are there any inappropriate scenes. Thanks
  9. We decided to try Royal Up for the first time for our upcoming Alaskan cruise in July. We bid slightly over the minimum required for a two-bedroom grand suite. For those who have experience with Royal Up, what are the chances that we will get upgraded? Thanks.
  10. I called Royal, and they said that suites still have the turndown service. So I guess that adds to the suite perks.
  11. Could anyone share there experience of the RCL Seattle Terminal? Going there this summer and wanted to get an idea of what it is like. Also, what are the best ways of transportation to the port. And if possible, could anyone share pictures, or at least direct me where to find pictures. I also wanted to confirm if the terminals had dedicated boarding for suite guests. Thanks
  12. We are staying in a Sky Class cabin on Quantum OTS this summer, and I wanted to ask a few questions regarding the concierge reserving activities. First, I wanted to know if there are private iFly sessions? If so how much are they and how much time do you get in the machine? And could the concierge reserve it for me? Second, the North Star. Could I have the concierge book a time for me? And how long is each ride? Third, I want to learn more about the activities offered in the SeaPlex. I know that bumper cars are offered, but what else is there? Could I have the concierge reserve activities in the SeaPlex? Also, are the bumper cars free? Fourth, Laser tag. Where is it located and how long is it? Do I have to reserve a time and if so, could the concierge do it for me? Is it free or is there a fee, and if so how much is it? And if there is a line where you just have to wait, do suites get priority access? Lastly the Escape Room. I know the escape room is not free, but how much does it cost. How many people are in a group and do I have to reserve ahead of time? Could the concierge book it for me? Also, my daughter is 8, so is it possible they could make an exception for her to participate even though the rule is 12 years or older? And in general, are all these activities available to be booked in the cruise planner, because they are not shown currently? Thanks
  13. Did you have the option to take pictures in the ports of call? Also, do you think it is worth it to order the canvases from Royal or to just get them printed ourselves back home? And if you don't mind sharing, how much did the canvases cost? I also wanted to know, do you take all the photos in one session or can you do them on different days. I assume you could do it multiple times, since from what I have heard you can take pictures in port as well. I was looking at your review but there was so much going on it was hard to find what I was looking for.
  14. Wait, so you have to purchase each photo individually? So they are not included in the package?
  15. We are considering the idea of doing to the private Photo session for our up coming cruise. Has anyone ever done it before and what was your experience? Did you get to take pictures at Port with the scenery? Was the entire package curated to how you wanted it? And overall how does it go and was it worth it? I was also curious what are the benefits of doing the private Photo session rather than doing the other packages? Thanks
  16. I am concerned that the ship will be too crowded with kids which will ruin the peace.
  17. Are there large amounts of kids on Alaskan Cruises? I know usually on Caribbean cruises there a tons of kids, but how about Alaskan ones?
  18. Am I able to have a rollaway bed in a Grand Suite on Quantum?
  19. We have been thinking to try a Star Class room and essentially the biggest perk that comes with Star, is the Genie. I know that Royal does not have a set list of what the genie can do because the Genie is supposed to basically do what you want them too, but it seems that practically all the things the genie does for you, I can easily do myself. For instance, if I choose to book Sky Class, I would have access to early booking to shows and dinning. I would still have to figure out what shows I want to do and where I want to eat, but the only difference is that if I was in Star, I would tell the Genie not the concierge. And the experience on the ship I don't think would be much different. Being in Star Class does not give me access to special areas. The only thing I can think of being useful on board, is how the genie can allow you to skip lines in popular attractions. Other than the room size, I don't see why it would make sense to spend so much money for Star Class. I still want to try to see if the Genie really does change the experience. But for all of you who have cruised in star class, what has the genie done to make your vacation more special. Thanks
  20. However the deal seems to be always active, meaning its not so much of a deal anymore.
  21. My family and I go skiing all the time. We try to go multiple times a year since it has become one of our favorite types of vacations. We go skiing so often and really enjoy doing so the price always seems worth it. We get new skis for me and my wife around every 6 years. So the price of equipment is not really a burden since we only get new ones every 6 years. However, our kids have to get skis around every 2 years since they are actively growing.
  22. It will charge your onboard account, and once the sailing is over, it will bill your credit card.
  23. I'm just confused since every sailing I look at it has both the KSF and 30% of discount. And when I look at the payment summary it shows a little over 5k dollars deducted in discounts. Maybe the KSF really does save money, but from my observations its always there meaning its not really a special deal if its always there. Royal also claims that a sail will end in a certain time period but in reality they will always extend the sail.
