We are taking grandkids on cruise in June.  They have never been on a cruise.  I printed the form from Royal Caribbean that parents sign to authorize us taking them and being able to make decisions regarding their medical care, etc.  The kids are 11, 11, and 14.  They will not be able to use your diamond benefits.  We plan to get drinks for them with our points/vouchers. And hoping they can join us in Coastal Kitchen for meals.

If they are staying with you in the same suite, I though all suite guest have access to the Coastal Kitchen.  If all of you are staying in a suite, then you have access to the suite lounge.   So no need worry about drinks isn't it?

  2. Hi,

I have couple questions.  I am planning to take my nephew & niece to their first Royal Caribbean cruise.  They are 14 & 15.  What's the what's the procedures?  Do their parents need to fill out the parent consent form?  Also, I will be hitting diamond soon.  So by the time they cruise with me, I will be diamond.  Will they get my diamond benefits?  Nephew is from my sister side which have the same address as me, and Niece is from my brother side, with different address but got the same last name with me.  How do I go by so both will get my diamond benefits?  Or that's not possible?

Yes, they can. They are absolutely welcome to go enjoy a nice dinner together without you, in fact I thought it was pretty cool when I saw a group on younger teens\kids having dinner together one night when I was in the MDR...it was nice to see kids enjoying themselves having a good meal and talking to each other over dinner.

Yup, you don't see that often anymore.  Nowadays, most of the time they are playing on their phones.

I don't blame people for being upset, I was silently crying too.  You can see the difference with my latest offer compared to previous as it says "1 COMP GUEST IN A DOUBLE".  It will be interesting to see what next month's offer is.  My next 3 cruises I have booked are all casino comps for 2, I wonder if that has any effect on the offers I see now?  Also, I wonder what offers I will see after my May trip as I plan on spending time in the Casino.

I got the same 3 offer as your, except the 1 Comp one I got 23AR204 which is a trade in value of $850.  The original offer was Balcony or Oceanview stateroom on select sailing with $0 trade in value, then yesterday they rename it to 1Comp guest in a double balcony or Ocean view trade in value $850.  Guess there were too many people complain.  I was crying inside and sad too, cuz there were couple date that work perfect for me.  But I travel solo, so it's not worth it to pay for additional price.  So I move on, to me, if an offer I don't like I am waiting and hoping for a next better offer.  The only cruise, I know I earned it's my annual prime cruise and the instant offer when I am on the cruise gambling.  The rest of it is just bonus.  That's how I see it.

I saw this offer and wondered the same. It makes sense from the casino standpoint. Usually the second person has no rank in the casino and often doesn't play. So by only offering comp offers for 1, they hedge bets.

So for this offer, what if solo cruiser want to do Royal up.  Are they still getting charge for 2?  hmmm....

  6. I read in a couple of the facebook group page.  The new comp offer '2023 JUNE - SEPTEMBER VARIETY SAILINGS OFFER' came out last nite, it's for Solo only.  If you want to add second guest, you will have to pay for the second guest.  Is not comp for 2, is comp for one only.  Is this what Royal trying to do now?  Comp one and second have to pay???   Hmm..  Anyone heard of this?

Hi all, just noticed they updated the MDR menus this morning in the app and there isn't a Royal night with lobster. All of the themed night menus are there, and I see a Taste of the USA which is I haven't heard mentioned before.  I hope it's wrong or we would be losing out on at least 1 free lobster tail, we'll see.

I am sure they will update the menu again.  As you see, there's no dinner menu on Day 8.  Since this is a 8 nights cruise.

When looking at the prices of water it seems there are two places that it can be ordered but the prices are slightly different.  One is in the area where gifts decorations and food can be ordered where it’s 12 one liter bottles for 19.99.  The other place is under the drink packages where the water package is and you can order 12 or 24 not sure if these are liters or not but 12 is 23.00 or so.  Someone else mentioned a 12 pk for like $11 but can’t find that anywhere.  First time using RCCL and I am getting frustrated for something that should be simple and not so pricey.   Any advice appreciated.

    Where do you find this?

That was when they have it on sale.  Under Beverage.  Now is 12 bottles for 22.99 & 24 Bottle is $40.99.  Not sure if they are for 12oz or 1 liter.  As I know they start selling 1 liter on my other booked cruise.

  10. First time I hit prime it took me 3 days, but cost me 7k. Combine table & slot.  Then the rest of each cruise cost me about 3k to 4k to get 1500 to 2000 points.  I would really like to know which volatile slots you play?  For slot, I play dancing drums, and lately I am playing the quick hit platinum and I heard ppl said buffalo & diamond are also low volatile also.
