  1. They have a huge terminal... people don't need to stand around outside. They can easily have people sit and wait for designated times to be called, just like boarding a plane- they'll call you up as it is your turn to board. I don't think its a "low percentage" of people that follow the rules, in fact I think it's the other way around. AND I bet a lot of people pick the earliest possible check in time and don't actually get there until later, which helps. I feel like if everyone starts showing up as soon as boarding opens, it will be a mess because you'll have the clash of people getting off and new people trying to get on, which is exactly why they stagger the times. I wouldn't be surprised if they do start enforcing it a little more if too many people show up early. I don't see the purpose of getting on the ship right as it opens, but to each their own- I get you wanna start vacation, but maybe try to get that check in time, then.
  2. Agreed... just include everything in the price, and call it a day, that way it doesn't come off as a gratuity as much as just part of the fare and they can disperse it however they want. THEN you can still give cash to those who you feel deserve it without feeling like you are double tipping if that's what you want to do.
  3. This is exactly what I was gonna say. I assume he was thinking it was a barcode like a sporting event, but RC just uses a basic barcode since you CAN print it if you want
  4. This is the same list they gave out about a year ago, same people listed. Other Hotel Services would mean laundry of the sheets\towels for your room. It goes to the laundry room attendants, I would assume. I also believe a lot of people are doing both, myself included- pre paying then also giving the MDR servers cash a few times a week. You can tip how you want, I consider these daily gratuities part of my fare and don't even count them as tips, and will leave room attendants and servers additional cash as the week goes on.
  5. I'm also an android guy- next time you see the passes, just Screenshot them. That's the safest way because sometimes service is wonky in the terminals, so you don't have to rely on the app or a printout.
  6. Reach out to Matt (his email is on the cruise compass page). He does something to the files that allows them to be printed when requested, I believe.
  7. I also saw both on Oasis in October. But I have seen quite a few people complaining about the change on FB
  8. Exactly- there was a nice sale yesterday, would have saved me about 13 bucks overall for the refreshment package. To me, it's just not worth it. Once something hit's 20 or so, then I'll consider it, but for the price of a McDonalds value meal, I'll just take the loss.
  9. It seems to be across the board, it's a one day 35% sale ETA: I guess not ALL sailings are getting the 35%, but sure seems to be a lot of them
  10. The one thing I wish they would do is use that big outside stage when ships were in port- it seems its used more for night time entertainment.
  11. @Matt would have to help you there, I believe he has to do something on his end to allow certain ones to print.... also, I see a share option on the bottom, maybe if you share it to your email, you can print it from there?
  12. Did everyone see the "unique" sailings list.... some fun ones on here. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Deployment/2025_2026/2025_Unique_Sailings
  13. You know what a great addition to the doghouse would be? Funnel cake..you're on the boardwalk..it only makes sense!
  14. Got one in either direction... https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/perfect-day-at-cococay-wayfinding-maps.pdf
  15. They are so good especially the brats.... and the potato salad is great
  16. Yeah, we only have the one kid and he was 11 the last two times we sailed, so getting him registered to AO was no biggie, did it every time after we got to the room since the older kids stuff doesn't seem to run out of room anymore. Plus the fact that he never stayed more than 10 minutes either time seems to make it less of a priority for the next time, lol. I was thinking of booking a lunch for day 1 next time, still haven't pulled the trigger because the boy likes to make Sorrentos our first stop, and that usually does the job until dinner..but a nice steak to start off the week might be nice!
  17. we usually aim for an 11:00 check in, but rarely get there before noon. We usually walk right on, no wait by then, and by the time we get some pizza and do a loop around the promenade we can go right to the room
  18. but does that help with traffic? this seems to be a traffic issue more than a check in or terminal issue
  19. Everyone says they hear the perfect day song all day and it drives them nuts, I was on Coco cay twice this past year and recall hearing it maybe once...not sure if it's played in a certain area or on the trams or something, but I just never heard it!
  20. We got there and were walked to a table, and told that was ours for the day...it was a slow day so we got one right at the edge of the water, which was nice. I think pool side is come and go as you please, but never really went over there so not sure if people were holding spots or not- it never seemed to be real busy at the pool except around the bar a little bit. Make sure you check out the buffet, they don't really mention it when they bring you menus...but you can get food from the menu AND go pick at stuff at the buffet. The massage you can just go and set something up, but when we were there, the lady actually came around with a spa menu and asked if you wanted to walk over with her. Same with the fish spa thingee, my son and I walked over and did that...he loved it (I hated it,lol)
  21. I saw that you guys can "suggest meals" too... that's pretty cool. If you have Reddit, on the Royal Caribbean sub, there is a guy who posts a group of pics with very simple explanations every single day. I love it, it's a quick glimpse of random stuff around the ship and what's going on. I'm actually reading his newest post right now...
  22. Awesome, I feel like you guys are a lot of fun and looking forward to this one! Love the lanyards for the pub crawl!
  23. I guess if it rained hard,we kept it closer to the wall so it wouldn't get wet unless it was blowing in. Our room attendant left it out there all week,it was probably easier on her to clean, too! Well I'll follow along with your blog and throw my occasional msc update on there since I probably shouldn't do a full on review here! Let's hope for good weather!
  24. So what we did on Oasis was put the chair from the vanity on the balcony (there is three of us, so it gets used out there) then we shove that little table under the vanity, and put the trash can right inside of it...like under the table and on the base. That clears up that whole little area, which is especially helpful to us with the couch bed out. We bring a REALLY long charger and plugged in under the bed and shared that when needed, then one on the vanity plug for the kid to use.... but what really helped was charging one of those portable charger packs all day, then I would just use that on my side of the bed and my kid and wife would have the other cords as needed. The charging pack was also nice for my little USB fan so I could plug it in and lay it right on the bed when I napped, Also- we really are cruise twins because your next cruise is the same week I do that MSC trip...well we are 12\7-12\14. So we'll ALMOST cross paths in Miami.
