  1. We had a few vintages walk out at the Love and Marriage show in December as soon as the one couple got introduced, and they were both women. I mean it was almost instantaneous, the couple was introduced and these people were up and out. Same with the adult comedy show- difference was that the comedian started laying into them as they walked up the aisles
  2. Ok, now I'm caught up on your blog, as well... I will say it's nice to see some of the YC parts of the ship, since we were not YC...lol. There are NO drinks in the pools on MSC, one of their weird rules. They also don't allow drinks on some ships in the Theater, but Seascape is not one of those, and there are actually cup holders in the main theater. The buffet is massive, and took me days to realize if you walk allll the way to the back, there are other items, especially at breakfast. They say it's mirrored, but there are absolutely different items on each end of that giant buffet. Also, I was definitely leaning over the kids buffet rope and grabbing the occasional chicken finger or cup cake. Also... the pizza is really good. The regular pizza, on the corner where they have the 3-4 pizzas sitting, not the square\Sicilian stuff they have on the main buffet area. If you venture into "gen pop" our favorite spot was the Loft cafe- nice and relaxing, great crew and they had some light, live, music playing most nights. We missed Ocean Cay, so looking forward to actually seeing it this summer, but I have heard many reports of the YC club beach being way too rocky
  3. Our good friends just got off Wonder Sunday and texted me a ton of stuff yesterday about how much they loved it, and how great the food was... she specifically mentioned the chocolate croissants, so I'm sure they'll appear...unless they ate them all.
  4. JUST flipped through the last 3 pages to catch up. We were away for the past 2 nights and did Easter in Atlantic City. We stayed at a Club Wyndham condo, and I just kept comparing everything to a cruise- they had a list of activities they gave us, which I constantly called "the compass" They had destination elevators and everything. lol. I saw you mention the Philly sports shirts- I swear whenever I wear an Eagles shirt, no matter where I am, people will give a "Go Birds" Also was hoping for across the hall neighbor shenanigans, but I'm guessing someone put them up as a joke then realized that wasn't a good idea, Food porn request: I saw the reddit post like 2 weeks ago about these new cinnamon buns, and then an article on here about them... if you see them and try one, let us know if they're really THAT good!!
  5. I didn't chime in early enough...but this would've been my suggestion. Stick with the original plan, enjoy the freebie and maybe add one, which you are. I feel like you enjoy the snacking and little bites like ELF and it would totally throw you off your game if you were avoiding all of that!
  6. It's ok, I missed it both times I've been on Oasis... and regret it afterwards each time!!
  7. Is it Taino Bay or is it Amber cove? Hopefully Taino bay- it's really cool, we just stopped there a few months ago.
  8. So, we had our TA (even though I do it for some friends, I liked ours so much that I didn't have the heart to tell her I could book em myself, so I keep using her, lol) go through all the options with me for either Allure from FL OR Indy from NJ to Bermuda... was leaning heavily on the Bermuda cruise just to check out Indy AND not have to fly. But decided to throw the option to the kid, who will be freshly graduated from Middle school, and heading to High school after this cruise, so told him- it was 100% his choice of cruise this time as a graduation gift. He picked Oasis... again.... that wasn't even one of the options we gave him! SO, looking like we'll be doing Oasis for a 3rd time- positives are 1. No flying 2. We love the ship and know our way around and 3. I WILL finally try Portside bbq! 4. seven nights instead of 5 on Indy- 2 more nights on ANY cruise is always a plus.
  9. Yeah, Allure is still in the running... late August of next year is one we are looking at, not the best itinerary, but price is great and we still want to see Labadee (maybe..hopefully) and that's one of the stops, so it's definitely a front runner. Really upset there is NOTHING for Spring break from NJ next year, would've convinced the wife to do Oasis again or try Odyssey if either of them were sailing late March, but nothing. And now that we're really interested in trying the new MSC ship, I'm trying to budget this out properly since we would have to fly down twice, or maybe even drive one of the times, to Florida in order for both of those to happen in the next year or so.
  10. Just here for the food. lol... but I AM angry that this will be another 3\4 night ship, my options are running dry here. I've been struggling to find a cruise for us to re-book and use this damn deposit I keep moving. Wonder would've been on top of the list! I'll just have to experience it through your blog!
  11. Don't fall for the all you can eat price, go ala carte- it ends up cheaper
  12. I came to post the same thing, someone on FB just posted a menu and all, looks like they are doing the smoothies and juices there for the morning\afternoon then switching over to a bar in the afternoon
  13. OHHHH OKAYYY Yacht club!! I'm warning you, EVERY person that has done YC has said it's the best "ship within a ship" and "luxury level" cruising they've done yet. I was "fantastica" and our next one will be "aurea", but the yacht club is definitely a goal eventually. The App SUCKS before the cruise, but it's very very useful once on board. You are doing the same itinerary we did, but ours didn't have Nassau- just an extra sea day. AND we missed Ocean Cay, but luckily captain knew days ahead of time, and was able to get us docked at St Thomas instead. Be prepared- missing Ocean Cay happens way too often due to the tight channel, so hoping for nice, windless days!! Hopefully it's still captain Tuvo aka: Captain "Bye bye", you'll love him!
  14. I have nothing to compare it with, as I haven't made it to Lounge level yet, BUT I do like all the windows\natural lighting in there! I know I've seen the one on Oasis down there in the basement and this has to be some kind of improvement.
  15. CRUISE DAY!!!! Hope getting there and boarding all go smoothly for you guys!
  16. Yeah, that's why I'm starting to look at Allure... the others are all going to be doing shorties or It's Oasis, which I would be fine with, but my wife has this weird issue about doing the same ship a third time. But also, I would like to see some other venues that Oasis doesn't have.
  17. We are now looking at Allure for a 6 nighter next summer, so these pics are definitely helping me make that decision. I didn't even realize they never had the bionic bar, I even told my kid yesterday that they added a tiki bar but it replaced a champagne bar instead of the robot bar. OOPS...oh well, he's just excited for Playmakers, the only thing he missed on Liberty according to him.
  18. I'm honestly not sure... they just posted these screen shots over on FB and said they received it as an email, but not sure if it's available by just checking the regular Royal Up area in the booking or not.
  19. Saw this over on FB.... interesting. Do you need to have one to upgrade or are they just randomly asking people to bid?
  20. They fixed that loop hole...the numbers pretty much mean nothing in regard to where you are staying, now.
  21. I think you still need to walk off with younger kids, BUT pretty sure they can get back on by themselves, though. I recall being on Oasis and two younger teen girls that were across the hall from us came stomping back down the hall to get their mom because they said they wouldn't let them off in Coco cay. BUT a 17 year old might be able to, for some reason I think I remember the girl even saying they needed to be a certain age, and I don't think it was 18.
  22. Awesome..looking forward to your thoughts. And yes, the other page is definitely a bit..uppity, to be nice
  23. Yeah, I assumed you were just goofing around, but I am looking forward to following both you on here and @asquared17 if she is doing any kind of blog or anything here or over at the other site.
  24. Well I can assure you... you still will not like Cats! It's the BRAND new ship, if you are in port with it on Easter week, it would be it's 2nd voyage... It's inaugural sailing is Tomorrow, I think. It's like a European knock off Oasis class ship.
