  1. Yep- it's the longest logged on, first booted.
  2. They just split up the different discounts through out the invoice, 2nd passenger 60% off, ksf, NRD (non refundable deposit) that's why everyone has different amounts-I guess in the end all that matters is that the ending price equals what they told you it would be. Definitely not easy to read, though
  3. I also loved my Promenade view room...that little sitting area and the window makes the room feel much bigger than it actually is. We had an interior booked for our next one but bumped it up to an OV, my wife loves sleeping and she's afraid with no natural light...she'll never get up! lol
  4. Yes, the app can be used to pay for starbucks at the kiosk.
  5. Elevator rooms are actually highly rated and sought after on most Royal ships- those hallways are long and the elevator areas really produce no more noise.
  6. We liked yve..perfect middle ground hotel. Not too expensive, not a dump. Nice to have the bayside marketplace across the street and can see the ships in port from the rooms
  7. ooohhh. I do like how they involve the existing pool into a dump zone. Very cool
  8. So I just discovered that you can play these few apps, earn points and apply them toward free play, OBC and even free cruises. You don't even need to spend money..it's literally just time you have the app open that counts. I've been Playing for less than an hour a day for about 2 weeks and already have enough for $100 obc. Has anyone else used these? I just noticed it says it's good for new reservations only...are they strict on that or can I cash it in for my upcoming cruise? If not I'll just let it keep building up until next year!
  9. Well... I don't know if it gets much cooler than a taco bar and private concert right in your own room. Very cool.
  10. Did anyone watch the tv show 911 last night? All about a cruise ship being taken over by hostages... part 2 and 3 the next few weeks. This has nothing to do with this situation, but I figured since we were talking about movies..
  11. Frozen in time had Ducks when we went last January... we also found it to be a weird show and did not go back the second time around on Oasis in October.
  12. Probably later this year, around November or so, they usually start adding dates to the back end. They released UP to around March for most ports, so they should announce some for March and beyond toward the end of this year.
  13. Yeah, the white piece pushes down do accommodate whatever size glass you put in. Very convenient for packing
  14. I still don't think that area in general is in danger, but it's more to ease everyones mind at this point. @Doug_Texasmentions violence in Cap-Haitien, but I can't find info on that anywhere.
  15. They just put something out...the whole fleet will be skipping Labadee for the near future
  16. Does your son need a drink package? why not just let him use his vouchers (and yours) for any beverages he may want and save the money on the package
  17. Glad you finally saw the FULL Aqua 80, it's so good! Intrigued by the Genie Special and waiting to see what that's all about!!
  18. I know they get access to the pier shuttle when needed, we tried to get on one last time and were told it was being held for the Suite passengers on their way off the ship.
  19. ha ha...that's crazy. I had a cruise in 2000, but had no idea the exact date, I emailed them and asked if they could find me with just a very vague description of my cruise "sometime in 2000 OR 2001, Sovereign of the seas, I remember it going to Key west but that's about it" They sent me an email back informing that I did, indeed sail in 2000, to Key west and Nassau... on the Majesty of the seas. I have no idea how for 20+ years I SWORE I sailed on the Sovereign. Lol, but they found me and linked it up to my account, that's all that matters!
  20. Yep- this is a hack a lot of parents use. It works great if a kid needs a nap or darkness so the parents can still relax without walking around in the dark.
  21. Hyperlink is a name they use for some activities planned for 18-25 year olds. A lot of times that after teen but not quite "old" age group feels a little forgotten so Royal has a few meetups and activities labeled as "Hyperlink" to try to bring that age group together for some games and social time.
  22. Same, Mike...same. We had CRAZY traffic due to tunnel construction in Miami last January...sailaway was set for 5 but we didn't pull off until around 730, they never announced why but I assumed it was due to the amount of people still trying to get into the port. We missed dinner that night and ended up doing the dreaded first night WJ... that was the one and only time I got my wife to go in there at dinner time.
  23. Funny you say this, MSC JUST upgraded that site and it's 100x easier to use now. You should have seen it 3-4 months ago. I don't think it's TOO difficult now, but they have different levels of "kids" because they charge differently, under 11 is free for certain sailings, under 17 is free for others. I am booked with MSC for December, I did everything on the phone, but mock booked it through the site first. They do have great deals, when I booked almost a year ago I was able to book an OV Balcony for 3 of us- 7 nights, with adult drink packages for the adults (and I don't even drink) and a "Minors package" for the kid, plus WIfi for two, in the slightly upgraded "Fantastica class" (which just means you can change your date once, which I actually did, you get to pick your room location and get no delivery charges for room service breakfast.) on the newest U.S ship for under 2500 bucks. And it's a pretty good itinerary that we've never done... the reviews of MSC are SO up and down, we figured for that price, they'd have to serve us dog food and never clean our rooms for us to have a bad time!
  24. Booked through a TA in 10\23 for this July. Still nothing. I was checking regularly but now I'm just waiting until check in, THEN I'll start checking regularly again. It's just an OV, so not really too concerned about location- more hoping for a lucky pick of all the way FWD or a spacious OV, but I know I'm more likely gonna be down in the deck 3 area, and I'm fine with that, too.
