  1. I am only seeing for See Days for my cruise - and I only see it when viewing on the website, not the app Little more details, they only have reservations available on those sea days from 11am to 3:30pm - so not sure if those are the only times available or if times outside of that might be no charge or for Key members or something like that Also, here are the restrictions/requirements: Minimum age: 6 years Minimum height: 49 inches Maximum height: 83 inches Minimum weight: 44 lbs Maximum weight: 297 lbs
  2. February 17, 2024 ... I do only see it when logging in the website, I don't see it on the app
  3. The Crowns Edge activity is now bookable for my upcoming Icon Cruise, at least for Sea Days, listed at $89.99/person .... wondering if will be like North Star and will be "free" on port days
  4. FYI - Crowns Edge is bookable, at least for Sea Days ... $89.99/person
  5. I see it is bookable for Sea Days - I wonder if it will be "free" on port days, like North Star
  6. I am on the Feb 17th sailing and looks like still availability every night Wonder if just too pricey for the unknown experience or word hasn't fully gotten out as booking being available happened pretty quietly
  7. The meat in the Windjammer is made out of people .... People!!!!
  8. Just a heads up to anyone interested - the Empire Supper Club is available for booking (I was able to book on the website, but not in the app) As suspected it is $200/person (guests with UDP pay a $130 supplement) and one seating a day at 6pm. Dress code is laid out and they will have jackets available for folks who don't bring one with them I booked it for my birthday (day 6 - sea day) so pretty excited ... anyone else looking to book this?
  9. Just a heads up to anyone interested/with an Icon Cruise coming up but the Empire Supper Club is available for booking (I was able to book on the website, but not in the app) As suspected it is $200/person (guests with UDP pay a $130 supplement) and one seating a day at 6pm. Dress code is laid out and they will have jackets available for folks who don't bring one with them I booked it for my birthdays so pretty excited ... anyone else looking to book this?
  10. Just booked this for my cruise in February - do this for my birthday so willing to splurge a little. Based on how it is presented - with the food level, etc - I don't think the price is crazy, but we shall see One thing, it didn't show up in the app, but only when I logged in on th website
  11. I wonder if they code everything for a target audience per ship and base pricing for that For the Icon sailings (especially the one I am on as it is over a school holiday week - Presidents week) everything that is aimed more at kids/younger people seem priced very, very high. For example, the water park on PDCC is $219 (today it has it's biggest sale I have seen, 15% off, taking it to $185.99 .... but like Hideaway beach isn't a crazy price compared to other sailings I have seen. Internet on this one seems higher than on other cruises for example ... so wondering if they have higher prices for the deluxe and refreshment packages, but for "coffee" this isn't as much the target audience so they put the bigger sale there
  12. I am on Icon in Feb '24 and that is the one thing I see for 55% off - so it is showing for $12.99
  13. For our Icon cruise in Feb '24 I just rebooked stuff I already had but saved a bit (It's presidents week so starting prices seem really high - the water park at PDCC is over $200 to start with as an example) Got Internet - 4 devices was 45% off (previously had 3 devices at 30% off) Rebooked some specialty sea day lunches: - Izumi Hibachi (20% off, was 10% off) - Hooked Seafood (40% off, was 10% off) - Giovani's (40% off, was 35% off) Deluxe drink package is still at Buy One, get one 50% off, which is what we already have (and that is off a starting price of $115/day - so was hoping for a bit more off, oh well)
  14. if it makes you feel better the water park for my cruise now has a 15% discount (highest I have seen) which brings it down to $185.99 ... beach club, also now at 15% off, brings it to $287.99
  15. yeah, I had the 3 device plan, but cancelled that and upped it to the 4 device (as we realize my son will need access as well as he now gets free reign of the ship) - so with the increased savings it cost me $13 extra to go from 3 to 4 devices
  16. Only thing I saw that was 55% was the Cafe Select package ... some 50% for other refreshment packages (if booked for kids),e tc. ... agree, most things were 30-40% (which, if it applies to something you want, isn't bad)
  17. BTW everyone, there are some Black Friday sales going on starting today. I found the best deals (vs other times) to be on the internet package and the specialty dining for lunches (some are 40% off)
  18. Part of it, I Believe, is how things get taxed .... If it is a tip to the crew then it is income to them and they pay personal income tax on it whereas if it was part of base fair the company would have to pay taxes on it Plus it lets them market a cheaper price for the cruise by not including it - like hotels that charge a "mandatory resort fee" that doesn't show up as part of rate when comparing to other hotels. Basically would need an industry wide change (probably mandated by a regulatory body) for this to get changed
  19. We sailed Symphony this past February, though in the Caribbean, not the Med. I think the big ships are better suited for places like the Caribbean with more sea days and less issues with ports, etc I do agree about Windjammer - it did often feel a bit chaotic and just undersized for the amount of people ... Seems they addressed this with Wonder and hopefully even moreso on Icon We enjoyed the big shows they had in the theater, especially Hairspray which I thought was an amazing production Overall I do get some of your criticism but do think they seem to be addressing with newer ships and some was just probably not right ship for that location/itinerary
  20. Well, glad I just paid the balance (including gratuities) for our Feb cruise so covered. Still wish they would just include this in the cruise fair vs a separate charge
  21. Just a heads up that for World Pasta day they are running a discount on Giovanni's table today, if you were interested in booking that - 20% off Dinner and 35% off lunch. For lunch it brings it down to $15.99 adults and $8.99 for kids (we booked it for lunch for day 6)
  22. Quick googling shows Anthem of the Seas will sail from Southampton in 2024 and that would be a great ship. Agree with others that the newer, larger ships would have more to do We have kids similar ages and did our first RCL cruise this past Feb on Symphony of the Seas and had a great time. We are booked on Icon for this coming February
  23. A little funny (if that is the right word) as we migrated to Royal as were p iced out by Disney, and now Royal seems to be following and pricing is increasing so much, that upcoming Icon cruises are priced as high or even more than Disney So guess it is my fault lol Still obviously options that are cheaper and still ways to make things work, but prices are going up everywhere - just some places more than others and maybe have to work a little harder to find options that fit your budget or maybe just cut back how often you go (definitely my dream of taking a bunch of "cheaper" cruises maybe won't be realized)
  24. Yeah, that is what we did - had a great time, enjoyed all the planes coming in and the restaurant there has decent food. We also took a walk into town to go to the Yoda (Star Wars) museum which was very cool. No need for special excursion on St Marteen
