  1. Great call. A corkscrew made my updated 'must pack' list for our next cruise.
  2. We were not charged on Allure this summer. I did request a corkscrew, which was ridiculously hard to use
  3. It may be cheaper to book for 2 and go solo. Im pricing solo cruises and it makes more sense for me to book for 2 and have a no show. I don't care about double points.
  4. Yes, as you clarified, cobranded cards have their own scheme/points specific to that product. I have 3 Chase cards that offer Ultimate Reward Points (Ink and Sapphire cards) and others that earn points specific to brands like Marriott, Disney, British Airways, Southwest, and Amazon. Some are far better than others when it comes to realized savings when booking vacations/making purchases. Booking through the Chase portal is something I rarely do as the deals aren't there. I use my Ultimate Rewards points to purchase Flying Blue and Virgin Atlantic points on discount as offers pop up. Losing the 3x category is a huge deal as my spend will need to be substantially more in order to take advantage of transfer offers
  5. Only select Chase cards offer reward points
  6. @OCSC Mike do you know if your TA offers discounts to parties of 3 or 4? I have never been able to secure a group rate and was told they were for rooms with 2 occupants, which I find very odd. I went through MEI.
  7. Not to scare you, but we were on a segway tour in which a woman crashed into a pedestrian- both were hurt. I was considering one in Palma but felt it was a little too risky for the first port of call on a 2 week vacation.
  8. We paid 15 euro per person in Palma for a round trip shuttle out of/into the port area. The drop off and pick up was just outside the center of town near a boat harbor. I would strongly suggest that rather than attempting to walk. Those folks looked MISERABLE.
  9. We travel with universal adapters to make the most out of the limited outlets. https://a.co/d/eVvVy0W
  10. Having done both, Freedom Trail but both are great options. I would look for a guided tour on Viator or Get Your Guide- you will get a lot out of it and pay 1/3 the price of what RC charges.
  11. Checkout Travelex or Insuremytrip for some great options that work for your needs.
  12. I don't know if this is true, but in my experience rooms that fit 4 have the bed closest to the washroom.
  13. My daughter just graduated and we did a private shoot in Hawaii last fall for less than 500 USD. My son needs senior pics this year, we are doing them in Italy for less than 500 USD. We are definitely not bringing cap and gown but just some nice clothes. My humble suggestion would be to book in port, not on the actual ship- they will age better.
  14. Bring what you want. I have both state side and in the UK/EU without issue. Snacks are not abundant, as @Ampurp85 states above. I do bring Ziplock bags to stash cookies and olives for the kids, but that's really it.
  15. I get up and find another table or just leave. It is terribly annoying when people lack all sense of self awareness/EQ.
  16. I did the same small group tour in Naples that you have booked and it was the most memorable, magical day. Also the most expensive, but well worth it. The small group is a must due to the narrow road into Positano. We had a wonderful tour of Pompeii, we learned a lot and actually only had about 20 minutes for trinket shopping at the end
  17. Me! Me! @FionaMG has heavily influenced how we have spent every port day for the past 2 summers and our upcoming cruise in June!
  18. 300 got us by and we had cash to spare. 1 adult, 2 kids, 2 weeks. If you are staying in airbnbs, check and see if they will expect cash for whatever tourist fee/tax they may charge upon arrival.
  19. They most likely will not ask. I always bring birth certificates and a notarized letter from my ex that says he is aware we are traveling out of country and I have authority to make medical decisions. I've never been asked to produce it outside of Heathrow. Never had someone ask at cruise check in.
  20. You may want to consider getting off at Roma San Pietro (St Peter) near the Vatican- you will have more time to explore- fewer stops and the walk to Trevi or the Pantheon is lovely.
  21. Strange they would sell out of an internet package.
  22. I was on a cruise that had France in the title but no stops in France.
