  1. We like Quantum as Jr Suites (J1,J2) have both a 1/2 bath and a full bath. Also, Cafe 270, similar to Park Cafe' on Oasis class is in the stern and not as well known.
  2. The one tip I did get is to make sure any luggage you are having put onboard is in the custody of Royal Caribbean designated porters. The bag drop off areas for the different ships are close together.
  3. How was terminal 91? The first few Alaskan sailing guests on Ovation OTS from Seattle reported it was very disorganized and they encountered long slow lines. For those that have been through it recently has it improved? We will experience it next week.
  4. I tried using the website planner and it displays a drop down menu for the event category. If I choose "Excursion" it links to their Excursions Planner page and wants me to book one of theirs. There is no "Other" option on the drop down. Every event category links to a Planner page
  5. I wasn't aware of that history. I was unfairly lumping a number of smaller countries together. I have read some smaller countries were relying on the CDC for COVID protocols as they didn't have comparable resources or expertise to do the types of research the CDC was doing.
  6. Was the Bahamian government letting the cruise lines be the "bad guy"? The lines require guests testing to sail so they didn't have to enforce visitors to test. Now the cruise lines are not requiring testing but the government still feels it is necessary?
  7. That is what I thought you meant. I do not believe one can add non Royal events to the calendar. I'll create the events on my phone calendar. Thanks for the responses!
  8. It is possible to add self booked excursions to My Calendar on the app? I can't a way to edit it.
  9. I agree about empty ships. There are cheaper 5 night'ers than Bermuda. I would think most passengers on those cruises are going to explore Bermuda.
  10. Royal has 2 different 5 night cruises to Bermuda in October, 2022. Bermuda currently (As of June 3, 2022) requires negative COVID test results when exiting the ship. If Bermuda doesn't change their policies I would hope Royal would warn those passengers of Bermuda's policies.
  11. I wished I kept the original Royal Up email. I received a 2nd email solicitation from RC to participate in Royal Up. My recollection had the minimum bids for the different upgrades to be more than they are now. We are in a Jr. Suite on Ovation and the current email is asking a minimum bin of $210 pp to go into a Grand Suite with Sky Class perks. We are doing a B2B and have the same cabin for both sailings so I am not interested. I seem to remember laughing at the upgrade minimum bids the first time around as non starters regardless of our situation.
  12. OH NO! We booked an equivalent suite with perks (A Retreat Suite on Celebrity) and if it is as addictive as you all say, we're in trouble! (The good kind of trouble!)
  13. I was on Anthem and the Bon Jovi tribute band did 2 shows on 2 separate nights in the Music Hall and they didn't start until around 10:30 pm. The show ended after midnight. Typically loud rock band.
  14. This from the RC website for cruises from Seattle Still says test age of 2 days for vaccinated persons. I looked today 7/31/2022. Vaccinated guests must show a negative result for a PCR or antigen test taken no more than 2 days before boarding day. Kids age 11 and younger who have been vaccinated may present proof of full vaccination and follow the testing protocols for vaccinated guests. Unvaccinated kids age 2-11 must show a negative test result for a PCR test (not antigen) taken no more than 3 days before boarding day. Unvaccinated kids' pre-cruise test cannot be taken on boarding day, because that may affect the sample taken during the kids' test at the terminal. Guests under 2 years of age do not need to complete a pre-cruise test.
  15. My opinion, you really should have talked with the cabin attendant about your issues. On a previous cruise they forgot to empty the mini fridge of some food items the previous occupants left behind. I left a note for our cabin attendant to remove them and he made it point to return to our room while we were there and apologized over and over. I was worried he was going to jump overboard Anyway, if your attendant is serious about their job, your cabin would have super clean from then on. If not, you had an issue that would need to be addressed at guest services. Being a picky complainer is one thing, expecting someone to do their basic job should be expected.
  16. I "enjoyed" the same situation, retired with my wife still working. I liked being a "kept" man She has since retired and I'm still doing all the laundry and cooking!
  17. We created an online account for my wife and she has her own Crown and Anchor number but it shows the same number of points that I have. You might want to check if she has her own C&A number too. You should be able to do that via an automated process using the C&A support line (1-800-526-9723).
  18. Forced to cruise? If they did the "right thing" they would eat the cost of the cruise and not go at all. It would suck to be sure. If it were me I would want to stay close to home in case I needed increased care by a doctor I know and trust. Another good reason to have travel insurance. I do agree with you that RC should also step up and refund the cruise fare.
  19. Cruises 5 nights or less. The statement says for cruises 6 nights or greater vaccinated guests will need to perform pre-cruise testing. Starting with August 8, 2022 departures, our protocols will include: • Requiring testing for unvaccinated guests on all sailings, and for vaccinated guests on sailings that are six nights or longer.
