This sounds great!  There are 7 of us travelling (need to test on April 2) and I just purchased a 6 pack from EMed.  I knew I would most likely need to have someone else purchase another 6pk (since I could only purchase one 6pk) for the 7th person and also that would mean having plenty of extras for "just in case"...but at a hefty cost. 
NOW...I do have 4 boxes (8 tests) from the government.  I could have the 7th person buy a proctor and schedule their test for April 2.  But if any of the tests from the 6pk need a re-do that would mean a few more $20 proctor appts for the IHealth tests would be needed!  But this can't be done last minute so I am going crazy trying to figure out how many of the this new option should we plan on??? 
Ughhh I am soooo going to begin this cruise with the largest...most potent drink I can find!!!!!!! 

D D, you do you!  I just got off Navigator traveling solo and had a jr. suite.  I placed a minimum bid on Royal Up and got it.  Personally I loved the expedited check-in when boarding, and truly enjoyed all of the space (compared to the interior room I had on my last cruise).  If you have the $$ available for a bid, and want to try it out, why not?

I got notified of a charge on my Amex card today and I was wondering what the hell was this because I paid off everything Royal Caribbean…. and then find an email that my royal up bid was accepted for my move from a balcony to a grand suite... a grand suite! How awesome is that?!! A grand suite for a solo person.
 OK so what do I need to know?

Ugh I was hoping I would be able to still have one mid ship since not sire if I'd get sick.  I already have a balcony room, but would anyone advise on bidding for a higher up cabin or stay with the one I have already?
 

Never got an email, just went to the site listed above and saw what was available to bid on. Now just to wait to see if they take any of my bids.

I recommend the at-home tests.
Earlier this summer it was no problem to get a test at a pharmacy near me, but now it's really difficult.  Not to mention you're potentially exposing yourself to someone who has Covid by going to a test site.

So OBC through Royal is usually a booking deal that pops up occasionally. The most sure fire way I've found to get it is to book with next cruise while onboard. There's almost always at least $100 OBC offered.
 
Price drops on the other hand happen almost all the time because the fares fluctuate and you can get that new fare by either contacting your travel agent or Royal directly and saying "hey I see this new price for my room can I have that?" and they will essentially rebook you but if they do it right, you won't lose your room or any other benefits you got on that initial booking.
To check for a price drop, you can go on the website and do a mock booking which is basically going ALLLLLLL the way through like you are booking a new cruise on your ship in the same room category and when you get to the end page you'll see the new fare.
It was suggested to me by next cruise to check twice a week but I've really been doing it more or less once a week.
