Saw an interesting article this morning that the Biden executive order requiring facemasks on all public transport is being applied by the CDC to cruise ships ... so face masks could be expected to be mandatory except when actively eating or drinking. Of course the CDC would have to allow a cruise ship to sail before that would become relevant.

So as the cruise ships arrive/leave a US port, I get wearing the mask. ? (of course)

Once you're in international waters, in a different country, aboard a ship not registered in America,  how's the Biden mask mandate going to apply and/or be enforced. ?

How do you feel about the new rules that have been displayed on Quantum?

    • Tracelets
    • Limited time in the pools
    • Limited tables for dining
    • Temperature checks
    • Limited seating in the theatre
    • Muster 2.0
    • 1 metre social distancing

    Too strict, or fair?

So hopefully the norovirus and the Covid Virus will be under control.

I just got my first vaccine 3 days ago. I am ready to go > I am hoping my first cruise is July 11. I don't mind if it is any restriction . It is still much better then any other vacation.

I got my first a week ago.  My wife's getting hers this Friday.

So hopefully we'll be flying to Tampa the last week of April and the last week of May. ?

We're booked on Allure this Dec 5th. (got a great price on a Jr. Suite).

So hopefully the norovirus and the Covid Virus are under control.

I just booked Allure out of Port Everglades on 12/19/2021.  Pretty decent price on a CLS.  Short cruise but for the price it's not bad.  And I have tons of FCC to use up lol.

Thank you for wording that perfectly as always @twangster ?

    I love your posting. ?

I like flying Boeing, yet my older brother is a crew chief to maintain Airbus.  I drive a Toyota, yet my other brother drives a Chevy.

I've always wondered were the phrase "What the price of tea in China" came from.  ?   These are the mysteries that plague us. ?  Yet here we are.

SHOW ME THE CRUISE SHIP !!!!

We've got a 7 night booked on the Allure in September 2021, and hoping with everything I have that we can go ahead.

We got an ocean view balcony for the two of us at a steal and I know we will never see those prices again. And since we will be travelling all the way from South Africa to Orlando, there's a lot to rearrange should we need to.

Hoping for the best for everyone's cruising!

I see your traveling to Orlando, Is not Allure of the Seas sailing out of Port Everglades ?

Because we're on Allure in December sailing from Fort Lauderdale.

We use the Royal Caribbean Visa card and we love it.  I know that there are other cards that have a better payback, but b/c we use it exclusively for RC purchases and b/c the credit goes directly to your Sea Pass account, we use it a lot.  I pay for all of my cruises and all cruise planner purchases with the card as well as use it for all onboard purchases (casino, primarily).  It works well for us.  Any Royal Caribbean purchase earns double points.

The interest rate is awful so as long as you do not carry a balance, you're fine.  There is no annual fee.

We just got the Royal Caribbean Visa card.  Just received $100 SBC and a $200 Credit Card Credit.

Like you, we'll be using the card the exact same way. ?

I got the RC Credit Card.   I spent $1K and received $100 SBC.

Then I purchased the drink package for $700(on sale), and received a $200 credit on the credit card.  So the drink packaged ended up costing $500 for two for a week.

Find this option.  Usually just before you pay for your booking. (when you spend more than 1K in 3 months)

Apply today for the Royal Caribbean Visa Signature® card

Get a $200 statement credit plus 10,000 bonus points after qualifying purchases.
