Good afternoon, all. I will be on the Radiance for the 09.22 Alaskan cruise out of Vancouver. With an arrival back to port at 7 am and my train not departing until 545 pm, I was hoping to do a tour. Saw on the RC cruise site that they have one with an airport transfer that looks perfect-except it's an airport transfer and I need to get to the Amtrak station. Any ideas/thoughts on tour groups that offer such a thing? The one I was specifically interested in included Capilano Suspension Bridge as I neglected to do that last time I was in town.
All suggestions/thoughts appreciated. Thank you!
We did Vancouver last year in May. We arrived in Vancouver 2 days early in order to site see there. We went to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and loved it. In front of the Pan Pacific hotel and Ship dock there are two booths on the street where you can purchase excursions/tickets. I'm 99% positive we bought our Capilano Bridge tickets there and a bus comes every 15-20 minutes to pick up and take you. When we were ready, we decided to Uber/Lyft back instead of waiting on the next bus. It's not a long drive and cheaper than renting a car. I believe the busses pick up at multiple spots in the city. Hope this helps.

Almost certainly a medical emergency
Yeah, I told my wife the same thing after realizing it came in and left this morning. Hope they are ok if so.

I just noticed her sailing away just now and was curious why (at 8am). Looks like she was set to sail yesterday (the 9th) but must have been delayed?

If you use the link in the e-mail from C&A (this morning), it is 60% off vs 50%. Early C&A dibbs, for today only.

Based on Matt's recommendations, we've done www.mayachanbeach.com and had a great time. I just booked it again yesterday for our December cruise.

I'm thinking about booking this excursion for December and would love to hear any feedback you might have about it.

Hi— this is our first cruise… Are you able to add additional gratuity at checkout? If so, how is that distributed/designated? We have been adding tips when able with signing off on the check. But there’s usually nothing presented to sign. We are not really wanting to pass around cash if there is another option at the end…. TIA!
Good question, I would like to hear a response on this (in case I forget cash). We usually take cash so we can tip the guys taking the luggage, bartenders, and of course the room steward.

I've never understood what good a copy would do, other than I guess help the consulate issue whatever temporary paperwork you need to go home. You can't fly out of a country with a copy.
Yeah, not sure either. I assume they would use the Passport # and look you up in the system and compare facial recognition? Not sure but getting off the boat today and not having to pull it out allowed us to pass through customs in 15 seconds. Hopefully all ports will add this feature soon.

Did you sail on Symphony, Odyssey, or Oasis this past week and happy with Royal Caribbean’s approach to Covid protocols?
Please share your thoughts on how safe and effective the protocols were. Did you feel the ports are being unfair?
Im looking for some quotes from folks who sailed recently to show that mainstream media coverage is not reflective of the overall experience.
please include your ship and sail date. First name optional.
Just finished a 7 day on Liberty OTS this morning. I don't feel the new protocols could have been any better last month. Maybe you didn't need to wear a mask in a few areas, but it really wasn't bad at all. Once your in the dining room, mask off. Once you have a drink at the bar, mask off. We had a great time!

Agree, we just returned today off of Liberty OTS and all of us, even the kids 10, 12 are vaccinated, and we were told not to leave the RC sponsored excursion to head back to the ship or we could have problems. This was in Cozumel and the tour guides said we should stick with them all the way back to port. They are taking things pretty serious.

A few weeks ago you covered the topic of whether or not to bring passports to Ports of Call.
A couple of years ago we departed out of Port Canaveral and a customs agent told us we would not need our passport for the remainder of the cruise. At our stop at the Bahamas the Bahamian gov were not happy with us not having our passports. For a short time my family along with about ten other people were led to believe we were not going to be allowed to re-board without the passports. They finally escorted us to the ship and told us not to let it happen again. We will never depart the ship in another country / island without our pasports.
We always leave our passports on the ship, but we instead bring a copy of our passports and/or our passport cards. We've never needed them or been asked to show them but have always been told to take a copy (at the very least) off the ship.

Thanks a lot for your help. @JohnK6404
Unfortunately, that button isn't there...
Is it possible since I've just recently bought it?
I'm on mobile browser, but everything else in your screenshots looks exactly like mine,
Just no cancel...
Very strange.
I tried to do it this morning from the Mobile Browser and it was a continuous loop for me. When I would click "Plan My Cruise" it wanted me to sign in again (a continuous loop). I logged onto my PC and was able to cancel and rebook in seconds.

So, I wanted to fill everyone in on something that happened to me recently so that you can at least check and make sure the same thing doesn't happen to you. My family of 5 are set to cruise on Dec 19th out of Galveston on Liberty. We made final payment 3 or 4 days before the final date back in early September (and as luck would have it, final payment was pushed out the very next day). No worries though, I was happy to have everything finalized and ready to go. A couple of a weeks ago we found out that one of our kids would not be able to make the trip and thus I called into RC to cancel him. Everything went smooth until about three days later when I noticed on the RC website that the "Pay Remaining Balance" was blue, and no longer greyed out. I clicked the link and sure enough, I now had a $408 balance due after being told I would get an FCC for $1,000+. It's taken about 10 days now for RC to fix it, but had I not called I am worried that my cruise would have been canceled for not paying in full before the final payment date that had been extended. I'm not sure what the policies or procedures are there, but I wanted to bring it light in case you want to periodically check your reservations and make sure you're not also showing a balance. I wasn't going to post about it until I saw the youtube video last week from La Lido Loca (link below). He had the same issue ($52 balance) but he didn't find out until going through embarkation. I wouldn't think things like this would happen with today's technology, but with Covid and some of the new policies, procedures, and technological system changes, problems are likely to occur.

Good luck and happy sailing!

We are on Liberty in 32 days and are a family of 4. Yesterday I received the "Royal Up" e-mail and was curious why the bid is for two people and not all 4 of us. I'm curious if anyone has seen this before? Do you pay/bid for 2 people but everyone is moved if it's won?
Thanks

After seeing the path the ship took today (after my post), I assumed that might have been the case. Hope everything turns out ok for all involved.

I see that Freedom is pulling back into Nassau right now. It's 4:00 pm there and Freedom was there yesterday correct, and today was a sea day before docking at Coco Cay tomorrow. Anyone have any idea clues? I wonder if there is a Ship issue, it appears to really be swaying and the ocean doesn't look that bad.

You should be able to cancel right up to the cruise. Below is a link to the information. One thing I would change when you are talking to RCL, your son "is not comfortable traveling with lots of people right now".
Cancel Your Cruise Up to 48 Hrs Before Sailing: Cruise with Confidence | Royal Caribbean Cruises
What about the Deposit. I paid $250 for each person and they told me the FCC for his deposit would be $50 (unless I misunderstood her). Thanks fo the tip.

So, my family of five is scheduled on Liberty, Dec 19th and my 18 year old may not be able to get off of work (brand new job) to go with us.
1) What are my options for:
- his cruise fare?
- his excursion fare?
- his soda package?
Any chance any of this can be refunded or added as an onboard credit? ***UPDATED -Answers below***

I've been reading that Pfizer is trying to get the vaccine approved for the 5-11 age group. We have a cruise mid Dec. Wondering if the cruise line will mandate it immediately for that age group! Hoping they at least wait until the new year before they mandate that ago group to cruise.
i have the exact same question. I have a Dec 19th cruise and a 10 year old waiting to get vaccinated.

We have 2 upcoming cruises on the Liberty - 1 in mid-October, 1 on Dec. 12. I believe that one of them originally was supposed to go to Grand Cayman and Falmouth, but now both cruises are slated for Roatan and 2 ports in Mexico.
Thanks, I assumed it would go to Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatan. I hope that is the case.

@KatiR, @Woody14 you can also check your bag at the Pan Pacific Hotel after leaving the ship and grab them before heading back to the Train.
