  1. Yes,to the thread below. Can't seem to delete this, only can edit.
  2. Welcome to the roll call thread for Adventure of the Seas 8 night Eastern Caribbean cruise from April 18, 2025 - April 26, 2025. This will be another wedding anniversary cruise for my wife and me. At the start of this thread we have 785 days to go.
  3. Wanted to bump this one back up. Anybody find new offers from Royal Caribbean on Amex lately? I would like to reserve a cruise in the next few days. I do not see any offers for my card, but then again, I only have their free Delta Sky Miles card that I have had for a long time.
  4. Here's when Royal Caribbean will put more 2024-2025 cruises on sale | Royal Caribbean Blog No new Canada/New England cruises announced for 2024 as of yet. Hoping more ships will be sailing there besides the 2 they currently have. There are 5 ships sailing there this year.
  5. Once upon a time, a long time ago (I'm talking way before the turn of the century) the beaches on Long Island, NY had to impose radio free zones on the beaches because of the excessive use of radios. You would be fined if caught using one without headphones in those areas. I don't know why it's so hard to listen to what you want to listen to with headphones or ear buds rather then imposing on everyone around you (with a portable speaker) by blasting your own personal soundtrack.
  6. It's too early. As of this writing there are only 20 sailings available in 2025. 2024 sailings are not all posted yet. I'm waiting for more 2024 Canada / New England sailings to post. Tampa is now a year-round port. It will have at least 1 ship sailing from there throughout the year. More cruises for the rest of 2024 & 2025 will show up eventually.
  7. You may want to carry them on. As long as they are empty when you first board, I don't see a reason why you couldn't bring them.

  9. There really is no way to actually know if there will be one until you are on the ship. I was on Adventure of the Seas embarking on Easter Sunday in 2019. I had gotten up at 6:00AM in order to go to the 7:00AM mass at my local Church that morning. Later on that morning we drove from Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale to get on the ship. I saw a listing in the cruise planner for a Catholic Easter service at 11:00PM that night in the Lyric Theater. There was a Priest on board this cruise who also celebrated daily Masses (at the Imperial Lounge) the rest of the week. I attended that Easter service as well. There were also crew members in attendance too. This 11:00PM service was following the adults only comedian show. I remember the comedian talking about what was to follow his show and lightly poking fun at it. Now getting back to my original thought, had I known there was going to be an Easter Mass onboard I wouldn't have gotten up at 6:00AM to go to my Church. All you can do is check your cruise planner.
  10. Looks like you'll have to go on a cruise that's less than 7 days and doesn't fall on a Sunday. I'm Catholic, but not hardcore. I attend Mass every week, and in the rare event when I cannot, my Church streams one of their Sunday Masses on YouTube. I know, to each his own.
  11. Same here. I've noticed they have been skipping a few weeks lately. Perhaps the ships over the next few months have enough bookings to not justify selling any remaining cabins at a lower price.
  12. Try one of the 3rd party excursion companys. They may even be cheaper than Royal.
  13. It's just as easy to (providing you have an internet package) stream any kind of Religious service on Facebook live, or YouTube whenever convenient.
  14. IMHO there should be the option of getting the paper copy of the Cruise Compass upon request. I get the"save the waves" deal, but they don't have to make 2000 copies every day, just maybe a bunch on the first day, keep a running count of who requests it and reduce the daily copies produced as the cruise goes along. And besides, isn't it printed on recycled paper? Whatever doesn't get used could be recycled.
  15. I don't see them changing what you can get with each tier, but it wouldn't surprise me if they made it more difficult to achieve new tier status. Like raising how many points you would need in order to get into each tier. For example, diamond status is currently 80 points. Royal raises the point requirement for diamond status to let's say 100 points effective, let's say on any cruise booked starting March 1. Now what about those who are currently between 80-99 points. I'm at 82 points currently, I would be grandfathered into diamond. Or let's say someone is at 75 points and booked a 5 day (or more) cruise before March 1. After their cruise is complete they too would be grandfathered into diamond status. But only from the points achieved from that cruise. Anything booked after March 1 (even if that cruise were to occur before the cruise booked before March 1) would fall under the new points and tier status requirements. There would be other scenarios that may come into play as well. It could get rather complicated. I would just hope if something like this were to happen that Royal's computer system is up to the task.
  16. From what was reported at the time, the port in Cuba was not able to take ships bigger than Sovereign class. I don't know how a Vision class ship would fit. Could they be tendering?
  17. I agree with ships being able to sail to Cuba again. Would love to see all the old cars driving around there. But then again it would bring up the argument of Royal having to either build a new, or acquire a ship small enough to sail there again. Empress & Majesty were sold. I do believe someone high up the Royal food chain once said that they still have a ship small enough to sail to Cuba, but that would be either a Celebrity or Silversea ship.
  18. The atmosphere is really nice in Central Park. As for the rooms, it all depends on your location. What it's overlooking. What it's just above and what it's just below. Allure of the Seas Deck Plans, Layouts, Pictures, Videos (cruisedeckplans.com)
  19. The gift certificates bought thru Royal Caribbean can be used to both help pay down your cruise, or be applied to your account as onboard credit. If you would like to use it to help pay down your cruise, do so at least 2 weeks before final payment for it may take some time for the payment to show up. I've always gone to my travel agent at least 2 weeks before final payment and have never had any problems with redeeming them. To use as onboard credit (which I haven't done in awhile), I believe the latest you need to have that applied to your cruise is at least 2 weeks before you sail, give or take a few days. As for the third party gift certificates, those can be tricky. You have to read them very carefully. I had bought a bunch a few years ago at 10% off so it made allot of sense to get them and save money. I have not seen them available since, but nonetheless there were several hoops my travel agent had to jump thru in order to redeem them.
  20. Here's one for the wish list. How about better cruise fare discounts for Diamond and higher on all cabins, not just balcony's. Sure the prices are better when they're at MSRP, but most of the time there's always a sale going on that's cheaper. If there's a sale the discount should be applied on top of that sale price.
  21. Sure hoping there will be more Canada / New England itineraries for 2024. Rather disappointed with they are posting as of now.
