  1. It’s sad that I had to actually add “look for top tier info” on my list of things to do on embarkation day. I boarded Jewel and no invite cards. So I went to the C&A loyalty ambassador to make the inquiry and she said it was on a sheet of paper in my cabin. Then she showed me this paper-of which I had not received in my cabin. apparently the invite cards no longer exist. Look for this paper. Write yourself a reminder to go chase these things down. I’ve been on multiple sailings where the invite was not in the cabin and no-I did not change cabins last minute or royal up. there were a number of people at the lunch who said they had not gotten the info in their room. I highly doubt we all had the same cabin steward.
  2. I’m booked October from LA to Tampa. i don’t know the other repositioning cruises. Maybe try a travel agent if you can’t get answers here
  3. Wow, had a friend who used the Oasis shuttle for the airport in early January and she described it like you did. Chaos. She’s done it before with no issue so IDK how Royal has screwed this up now. She’s looking elsewhere for transportation for her Oasis sailing next year.
  4. I’ve been able to watch the video from on the way to the port for a number of months now and have them marked completed. Seems to work the morning of, and typically after 9:00/8:30-which is about the last time the prior cruisers get off the ship. Makes sense since they need to “clear the cache” before letting us be marked as completed.
  5. I think it’s hit or miss. I’m on a back to back. Last week the servers were AMAZING! This week…not impressed at all. We are not demanding people either but a refilled water glass or the ask about a drink with dinner would be nice. My experience is that tends to fall to the assistant waiter, I’ve no idea what mine is up to this week but thankfully the waiter happened by and could refill the water.
  6. I guess the directions aren’t working for you
  7. read my post just above yours.
  8. I’m currently on the 2nd half of a back to back. Last week our service was GREAT and the food served HOT! I was floored. The salmon left a lot to be desired-overcooked on 2 different nights the first week so In not bothering this week. On most ships it’s moist. last week the Caribbean chicken was amazing-like always, this week-sadly it was dry. I’d give Royal another try. Reviews can vary ship to ship, or in my case week to week on the same ship. I do feel smaller ships deliver food that isn’t “cold”.
  9. I believe they do. Contact whoever you booked with to make this inquiry and/or once onboard you can go to guest services to make an inquiry. I’ve used MJS transportation for airport to cruise terminal-maybe they have what you need.
  10. Check in is 45 days prior to sailing. If you open the app and click on your profile it should show the date check in opens. if you share the ship, date of sailing someone here may be able to guide you. For example-I’ll be going on Anthem next month and there is a white night, 70’s night and 80’s night. or, as stated above-you can try using the app to see the current itinerary. The thing is it must be a cruise on that ship for the same length of sailing, otherwise it won’t be “accurate”. “Accurate” in quotes because things are always subject to change and you won’t officially know until you are onboard and connect to ship WiFi. app instructions to see ship sailings-then use the app for the daily planner: select the person icon at the top Scroll and click on “don’t see your cruise let’s add it now” Do NOT enter any info—click on “browse our ships” Select the ship Select the CURRENT sail date Check out the daily planner Be sure and click on the grey rectangle above the daily planner/my calendar at the bottom of your screen. It will mention formal nights etc. use that button each time you use the day1,day 2 etc.
  11. I’ve had it delivered to my cabin, or if you wait until after about 3pm on your last day before your first cruise ends they hand it to you when you make the purchase. That has been my experience
  12. Exactly what Twangster said. ensure you are in a relationship for crown and Anchor. I was the points earner in our relationship. I sailed solo a lot. It was a great experience, meeting lots of friendly people and going places I’ve never been. Hubby quit his retirement job to join me now and I still maintain some solo sailings connecting with friends I’ve met.
  13. Contact crown and anchor-not guest relations
  14. If there is a general concern about Covid always test when you get home and whatever the new testing rates are do that too(3days, 5 days…whatever…after possible exposure.) That should be the rule of thumb for anyone who has concerns whether or not the ship chooses to announce or not. 3 people on Anthem testing positive is not big news -and actually quite a small number! I suspect the numbers were quite higher but some chose to not go for testing. As for enhanced cleaning there’s not many people who realize how much cleaning does happen on a regular basis. It’s quite a bit, and it’s not typically “noticeable”
  15. Are the prices including gratuity or being added in check out
  16. Pinnacle can earn another free cruise at 350 points. I truly don’t see that happening for me but it’s a current available perk.
  17. Alright, we made it! Pinnacle this week. Ceremony done! and you f course a question. The loyalty ambassador is not knowledgeable. certificate earned this sailing ending January 20th. Does the booked cruise need to take place within the 12 months of recognition/700 pt mark? Or is it 12 months from when you call to book? Just a side note: I heard no C&A points on the free pinnacle cruise (but yes points on the discounted cruise).
  18. Hopefully you have the associated emails for your purchases so you can track your refunds. you may be able to search your email by doing a search with the reservation number. Royal did a refund for 8 people going to one event, paid as one lump sum on my credit card but the refund was 8 individual refunds on my credit card. So you really need to follow your statements closely.
  19. You can always google the country you are going to in order to understand exchange rates and if they accept US currency AND then if they accept US currency if you should expect US change or change in that countries money. (Be aware of exchange rate. )
  20. It is not necessarily $200 in freeplay. It will be subject to sailing and cabin category and the offer at that time.
  21. Best way to not get lidt look up your cabin # snd figure out your closest elevators. Are they aft or forward? Then try and only use those elevators or be aware which direction your elevators are. aft elevators are windjammer and dining room. That’s likely the majority of your meals. forward elevators are theater and fitness center.. look at deck plans for other items you are interested in and note which elevator it is. Next: once you exit the elevator and are sure which direction your cabin is-when you face the stairs-look at the artwork by the stairs. “Oh there’s the picture of ____” I turn left…to my hall and then turn right….. sometimes if you are fortunate the person who has the cabin off the elevator has a decoration you’ll temper, making it easy to note where to turn also I use the outside pool deck, Central Park or deck 5 promenade to go forward or aft. It’s so much nicer to “see things” than to walk down long corridors only to find out you went the wrong way! i like this website for deck plans https://www.cruisemapper.com/deckplans/Symphony-Of-The-Seas-1730
  22. If your current cruise is with a TA you will continue to use then there is no need to do anything. The cruise will automatically be assigned to them if you do not have a TA or want to change them you tell next cruise and they will do a form. You can name your new TA when booking with next cruise or you can add your new agent in 30 days. You have 60 days to book your next cruise booking to keep the Onboard credit (OBC) portion, after 60 days you lose the OBC but the reduced deposit is still good for 10 more months.
  23. If it’s refundable OBC it will go back to your card on file if you don’t use it on the cruise.
