I am doing a b2b with Santorini at both weeks. Week 1 we have a royal excursion-so no worries there week 2 we arrive 7am and have a 10am outside vendor excursion…. Is this something we would make? I see you mention not getting off the ship until 5 so you booked something via royal. Is it that bad? Please describe the tender situation for Santorini. Thank you!!

Normally the excursions are pretty punctual. Is there a chance to put the child into adventure ocean “just in case”? I’m not familiar with that program as my kids are grown

This just occurred to someone on my live sailing from June 17. No points showing, despite having a certificate. They had called the casino a few times and were told they had no points and to wait. I encouraged them to call c&a and it turned out they were issued a new C&A number, so the points were under that. C&A had to merge accounts and said it takes 2 weeks. Meanwhile certificates are good for 30 days

Start with crown and anchor—-sounds like you’ve been issued a new crown and anchor number and the points went to there. You can’t fix it with the casino until C&A merges the account-they will tell you it takes 2 weeks. If you find yourself sailing soon the loyalty ambassador might be able to expedite that. When I had this email it turned out my cabin was assigned-in the proper category. The email form was just incorrect. This happened twice. the first time I was unaware. The second time I checked before calling. Honestly-check and then call right away as Waaaytooo mentioned. Better to be safe than sorry. it amazes me how Royal can manage to screw up so many different ways. I’m glad this forum is here to learn things.

I’m a “nostalgia” person. I was very disappointed when tickets to ball games and concerts pretty much went away. There’s nothing like going through a desk drawer and finding concert tickets you’d been to-showing them off to family. Tickets to the World Series?-priceless!! looks like there’s a possibility shore excursion tickets will be next to go. I’m attaching photos of a FB post. What a shame- I’ve kept the tickets of the excursions I thought were great and the ones from Europe that were “ok”-especially so I wouldn’t repeat those “ok” -I have a terrible memory. I know some people won’t care about the potential change but there are others who will. Maybe this experiment will fail.

You shouldn’t have a problem. Their policy talks about alcohol for b2b (consecutive cruiser). It should be the same policy for non alcoholic. Security doesn’t seem interested in how much is in bags….i think they are more concerned with true prohibited items.

I’ve never heard of this. Host have discretion to bump up your certificate, not your points. you can easily check to see if she “has your points”, or if she has her own points by logging into casino royale. if you and your spouse receive the same offer you can combine them to get an upgrade-

I recommend you get him to commit soon. Cancelling close to sail date now leads to a $200 non refundable deposit on his future comps. I’m not sure how long that punishment lasts for.

Go to the spa raffle on day 1-embarkation day. Throw in a raffle ticket and you may win a service or $$ off. It has been my experience they also do a managers special that is about $159 and includes “x” minutes of a massage and potentially other items that escape me. I did a back to back to back recently and the managers special changed each week. You could tell the week they were desperate to sell because it wasn’t only offered for port days AND they offered more extras with the massage. Seeing how those offers varied week to week in the same shop I’m sure they vary from ship to ship too. used to be on sailings where the spa wasn’t s selling a lot you’d see some mid week offers, again that would vary by sailings.

Shrimp cocktail. I love shrimp but I won’t touch the t ones in the dining room. The shrimp cocktail in Chops is great. Only had one bad experience-they served it undercooked.

I keep a spreadsheet that includes original price and category and then any changes I note. While it comes in handy to see my savings I now realize I cruise too much and can I really call it “saving”!

Agreed-used to be my lunch on embarkation day. Now I’d rather eat a salad with no dressing instead of that chewy meat and lousy gravy. (I do put dressing on my salad-just trying to make a point). Having sailed a lot it amazes me how the food can vary on the same ship-great to eeew-, let alone ship to ship. the day one fried chicken in the main dining room used to be good. Now it’s small and has come out “burnt”-so overdone that someone in the kitchen should know by looking at it that it doesn’t belong on a plate. Now it’s a snack if it’s edible. Sadly I know what the food should be like because I sail a lot-I mean it’s sad for those paying full price and getting disappointing dishes. This could be their first impression of the food on Royal. oh, regarding the wings at playmakers. I love buffalo wings but it amazes me that the mild, medium, hot all taste the same. Inedible due to super spicy sauce. Sometimes I think the manager should take a bite when they get the complaints.

@tonyfsu21 or anyone who recently debarked in Civitavecchia…can you please let me know the earliest you can disembark or what time you booked your transfer for and what time you arrived at FCO? I am looking at CabRoma and have a 7am or 8 am choice. My flight is 12:20. Im wondering if the 7am is good to go. We dock on a Monday. thank you!

You can liras your internet free diamond day without visiting the VOOM desk. The problem arises if you have purchased a package, then VOOM staff must add your extra day-which requires a visit to the VOOM desk

Yes but keep in mind the days seem to be locked together-so see if they can make an adjust to give you 2 individual days if that’s what you need. Also, the days are 24 hours from start (in sure you know trust-it’s for anyone checking things out), and the fact that VOOM desk is only open for a few hours in the morning and then again in the evening makes this a pain in the next. We were told guest services could activate but for some reason on Liberty they could not so we had to go to Voom when it opened.

WOW, this is the first I’m hearing of something like this with the OBC. Personally I will not use the OBC due to the Black Friday catastrophe 2 years ago where I had to spend days pouring over bank statements to understand their refunds and adjustments and how I ended up owing them money because of duplicate refunds. Now I let the OBC sit and it can go towards my gratuities. glad you figured it out!!

Do you have multiple reservations linked together for that sailing? Or someone else in your cabin if linked reservations you may have clicked on someone else’s reservation to do the booking. their system fires not care whose credit card was used, only the person (name) who made the reservation can change it. A daughter was my “secretary” for me one day as we were driving she was reading prices of stuff for our cruise so I told her to book the beach. The beach went cheaper and I attempted to cancel and rebook, and had the same message as you. My daughter had to log into her account to cancel the beach and then I booked it. With Internet you should be able to make the purchase on your account and then figure out where the purchase was made under and cancel it.

Yes absolutely. I have even welcomed the people who sit next to me and tell them to enjoy their big win…within a matter of minutes they get a big win, and I say “you’re welcome”. I did pick a bank of 3 machines one time, no one at any and thought about it. One machine on the right had a mirror next to it so I chose that seat, figuring I was now “next to me”…the machine was great to me! maybe I should bring mirrors with me!

Funny-I has commented to my daughter that the food and bread were fresh on the last day…so the survey would be good! I’m sticking to my motto for Royal “consistently inconsistent”. It amazes me how much things within one sailing can vary as well as ship to ship or even week to week when doing a back to back on the same ship.
