  1. Yes, please!!!! This made me laugh so hard my stomach hurts. So funny. . .
  2. We scheduled the Maya Key Private Island tour in Roatan. The information states that the return times are every half hour. I am wondering when is the first return time? It will be nice to get off of the ship and enjoy the island. But we may want to return relatively early to enjoy the less crowded ship. **As an aisde, thank you for all the help recently. I will be returning to work on Monday leaving me with less time to ask questions.
  3. Thank you! Cozumel is not the sleepy island that I once knew.
  4. There will be SIX ships in port the day we visit Cozumel. If we head to Nachi Cocom, will we have trouble getting a taxi back to the ship?
  5. Have you visited the island yet? We just boooked Maya Key and was wondering if that was your choice? If so, what was you opinion?
  6. Yes, this was fun until. . . . the end because I can't figure out: These propel the ship; propellers are part of these
  7. I was considering these options myself in recent weeks (but in reverse as I am in Texas and was thinking of heading in your direction). Previously, my kids and I sailed on Liberty and Harmony. The kids were in their late teens during those cruises. While we enjoyed the slides, we only used them a few times. I am really just a big kid. Last summer, Mom and I sailed Allure out of FLL. It was an 8 day cruise with 4 sea days. Even though the kids were not with us on this cruise, I thought that I would miss the slides. But I didn't miss them at all. In fact, we just rebooked Allure from our "home" port. Oasis class ships are so fun. We only have a short drive to Galveston. A quick drive home instead of dealing with air travel after a cruise is great. I don't know how long of a drive you would have. We have also made the long drive from Port Canaveral back to Houston after a cruise (16/18ish hours). Never again (famous last words. . . . . ). There are so many positives about any cruise choice. I bet you will have a great time regardless of what you decide. If you guys come our way, welcome!!
  8. On Allure, do you reserve Mama Mia, OceanAria, Ice Games, Headliner, and the adult comedy show? Thank you!!
  9. Rapid Test & Trace Procedure Update I will post a quick update about boarding with the documentation on Saturday or Sunday. But I wanted to post my testing experience today, which was fantastic. Each person has to book their own appointment. Mom's was first. She had a camera issue and we were unable to turn it on. We could hear the nurse and were able to talk to her. We asked if she could join my appointment, and she was able. The nurse could not have been more helpful, patient, and kind. We instantly had our results. Negative result, so we are on our way!!
  10. I cheated a bunch! Maybe I shouldn't have admitted to that and kept is a secret.
  11. I gained a pound after Alaska which is not too bad considering. We would have an appetizer and a drink or two in the lounge in the evening and THEN head to the yummy food in the Costal Kitchen. The last two days were basically sea days. They were cold and windy so I just curled up in the cabin. I have been holding steady since. Headed out on Allure in a couple days. The warm weather will allow more exercise. We are in a balcony. So no fun suite lounge treats or Costal Kitchen which will help. The MDR is fine, not complaining. A couple weeks after the ABC island cruise, I will head to Disney for a week. I walk about 1000 miles a day on those trips. Then, fun time is over and it is back to work until next summer. Once at work, I will be back "on the wagon" and will try to loose another 30 pounds before next summer. We will be back in a suite again, so I need to prepare!
  12. Thank you! I will check out some options.
  13. It takes too long for me to recover from just barely partying at all.
  14. Are there any direct flights from a US city to Barcelona? Wondering if we should drive to that "mystery" city and then fly straight to Barcelona for our cruise next summer.
  15. Great information! We will mention our B2B appointments when the first one begins. I was a definitely a Walgreens cheerleader. Prior to yesterday I thought the only online choice was emed. I was not thrilled about paying express shipping charges while hoping the tests arrived in time to test. Being able to use the test in which I am familiar is also a big plus. Crisis averted!! You have a great cruise, too!!
  16. Great information, everyone!! We were given the insulated stripped cups at the beginning of June on Ovation. I dropped mine and it cracked open. I am thinking I may go buy a larger version of my insulated cup. The new Royal cup may at least partially fit inside.
  17. OCSC Mike, you have made me feel better about the testing situation. Your voice of reason is much appreciated. I had been expecting changes but the Walgreens news surprised me anyway. We will be boarding in one week and two hours from now with our RapidTest&Trace results. I can report back if anyone is interested.

  19. Thank you for the heads up! I will bring my insulated cup from home. Is the new cup something like this:
