That is definitely something we take into consideration. Our main issue is the size of the car. We were planning on borrowing a van from a family member. However, that may not happen now and I definitely want a backup plan. I know it's less stress of using your own car because most people would rather their own car get messed up than someone else's. The fees for that would be horrendous!

Thank you so much! If we were to use 2 cars, we would be using personal cars and not rentals which would mean we would have to pay for 2 cars to park. I really wish that Port Everglades had a discount for out of state handicapped because of my dad. I will definitely do a one-way search now. Thanks!

Time to level the playing field: Chair Hogs
Mrs. Thomas replied to tonyfsu21's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
What I have done is park my fat bathing suited behind right next to the chair on the deck. It makes people so uncomfortable that they move their stuff. What's even better is when they were sitting in the chair then move. The one time in my life that I don't care that people are put off by what I look like in a bathing suit. -
Thank you so much!!

If I purchased a shore excursion with OBC and want to cancel it to rebook, how does that work? Will it go back to being OBC?

Oasis of the Seas Dry Dock 2024?
Mrs. Thomas replied to MrMillennium87's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Hopefully, if they were to change it, it would be after I go in April. I've never seen it and would love to. However, it would be a big undertaking that I'm sure we would have heard about by now. -
As much as I love this idea, I started thinking about how much information I was giving to strangers. I wanted to put something up on my kids' room so they could find it better and to say Happy Sweet 16" to my daughter, but then realized that I don't really want strangers knowing what room they are in or that our daughter was just turning 16. IF I do put anything on the door(s) it will be generic as to not give anything away. I don't want to make anyone a target, including my parents.

The ship can mail things for you. I sent my parents a post card while on my honeymoon (this was 2013). I just gave it to guest services and they took care of it. I did have to pay postage, but it wasn't much at the time. I will say that it got to there after we got back, but it was neat to them that I sent it while gone.

Has anyone went to any of the black sand beaches at St. Kitts & Nevis? Is so, how did you get there and what did you think? TIA

Gratuities going up again
Mrs. Thomas replied to smokeybandit's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
How does this effect you if you have prepaid your gratuities? Will they charge you the extra while on the cruise or just add it to your final bill? -
I have 2 cruises coming up, one being a surprise. I haven't been on a cruise in a long time and didn't do the online check in. According to the video on RCB we have to take a photo when we check in. Is there a way to check in without the photo. I would prefer to not have to ruin the surprise due to check in. I'm still a little unsure how it all will work (even after watching the video a couple of times). TIA

I'm planning a 3-night weekend cruise and was wondering what the menu looks like for the MDR on a short sailing. I've only been on 7/8-night sailings. We are looking to try Wonderland but not sure which night would be better. TIA!

@Floski Do you know if he would have been able to take someone who was in a wheelchair? There will be 4 of us going to the Pirate's Museum. My dad will be in a wheelchair. He can walk ok just not for a long time.
-
Actually, it's the museum that we are planning to go to. My son adores pirates and we want to take him. I just don't want to have to pay the RC price for the excursion, which is around $80+ per person. My dad will be in a wheelchair as well. I just want to know we can do it without alot of hassle. Did you have to buy the tickets online? Now to find a beach at St. Maarten that won't be crazy crowded.

@Pooch True, however my name on her birth certificate and my married name are different. I wasn't married to my husband (who is actually her stepdad) when I had her. She and I have never shared a last name. I want to make sure they see that my maiden name is the name on her paperwork. This means that I will need my birth certificate and marriage license to show my name and its change. Thankfully we aren't going anywhere that we will need a passport for, as I can't get her one of those until she's 16.
-
I'm looking at name issues but with my daughter who has a different last name than I do. We have never shared a last name and there is not a custody agreement. I will be bringing both birth certificates, my marriage certificate, and of course IDs. That way they see all of my name changes and that she is actually my daughter. I would rather have too many documents than not enough.

Looking at going to Bermuda with my daughter who would be 18 at the time. What are some fun/relaxing things to do? Also, is the sand really pink? TIA
-
Hey everyone! I'm looking to get a taxi to the Pirates museum in St. Thomas. There will be 6 of us going and one person in a wheelchair. Are there taxis that can accommodate us? Will we need more than one taxi? TIA!
-
Once you find these deals on the RC website, I would go to Cruisebound and see if you can get it cheaper. That's how I got a few more hundred dollars off of my cruise for next year.

I'm looking into a couple of beach excursions for St. Kitts & Nevis. Right now it's between the Carambola Beach Break and Spice Mill Beach Break. Has anyone done either of these? Was it worth the money? Good things? Bad things? BTW, I'm planning on having my kiddos with us (12 & 15 when we go). TIA
-
Wonderful! My Dad is always concerned about that as well.

Thanks!
