  1. There’s another stranger coming home again ! Glad to see you back.
  2. Unless I’m mistaken, the Oasis class ships do NOT have the made-to-order egg chef. I guess it depends on which ship.
  3. Of course your sister can stillest with you ! She can either pay for her meals or purchase the Unlimited Dining Plan. She just won’t get a genie services or a beautiful suite. You get what you pay for !
  4. This is likely the answer. Just b/c they allow you to bid for a RoyalUp does not mean that there is actually a cabin in that category available. They allow you to bid b/c there’s a possibility that someone in that sold out category may either cancel or win a RoyalUp and move out of their cabin, leaving a vacancy for someone else to move up and so on, down the line.
  5. BC, luggage tags (and cruise docs) became available at 49 days (7 weeks) prior to sailing but since the restart the time frame for luggage tags and cruise docs has varied wildly. They are being distributed much closer to sailing these days.
  6. ahhhhh....took me a while to get this one. ..."spilled the beans"...
  7. I had trouble a couple of days ago. I was forced to change my password but everything has been working on since then.
  8. So glad to hear that they are doing this ! I know it's a disappointment to be downgraded in size and location but having them honor the SC benefits, including the Genie, will make it palatable.
  9. So….if the OTW cabana holds 8 and you add 2 for $50 each, using OLD math that cyphers out to 10. Who’s getting left on the beach ?
  10. Sorry, I really don't know the answer to that question as I never even looked at the price for CCBC passes for either of those 2 cruises. The only CCBC passes that I have purchased were for a Mariner cruise (9-20-21); they were $53.99 PP, but that cruise was subsequently cancelled.
  11. I got the SY Christmas (12-23-21) and NY sailings (12-31-21) for $199 but that was many weeks back. I haven't seen it go that low for a long time. $224 seems to be the new "sale" price.
  12. Perhaps they will allow you to shift your cruise to a different Wonder date. I know that isn’t one of the listed options but with the huge SC category disparity, maybe they will consider that option.
  13. 7 year old ?! Where has the time gone ?! I remember when she was a newborn. Holy cow !! She'll be graduating from college before you know it ! You'll be Star Class, right ? So no need to worry about something to do. The Genie can help you set up a clinic somewhere on the ship and you can see a few patients. Might as well work if hubby is going to work, right ? LOL It's good to see you on the boards. You've been gone waaaytooo long.
  14. Cruise docs used to come at 7 weeks out (day 49) but now there doesn't seem to really be any reliable timeline.
  15. There are now provisions for medical contradictions ! You will just need to contact special need ([email protected]). Here is the response I got back from them regarding this issue: Hello, Thank you for contacting the Access Department. Vaccine accommodation requests are only being considered for active reservations. Please send us your reservation number and a doctor's letter on the office letterhead with the following information: • Name and DOB of the guests who are requesting an accommodation • Medical reason that the guests are unable to be vaccinated • Confirmation that they are medically fit to travel Best Regards, Patrick Burden Access Advocate Good luck. The tricky part, of course, is getting your doctor to sign the letter but it shouldn't be an issue with your medical history. Keep in mind that even if they allow you onboard, you will most likely STILL be excluded from some activities and venues.
  16. Hmmmmm....have you checked the no-fly list to see if he's on there ? LOL
  17. Thanks, Jill !! We do love it. We are soooo glad we made the decision(s) we did. We were actually pleasantly surprised at the summer heat. Maybe we were just prepared for it to be much worse, but it was no worse than the summers in VA. I think the "hot season" is just longer than it is elsewhere...but I've been MUCH hotter in TX than I ever was in FL this summer. Closed on the house on 9-15 and we are busier than ever with all of the add-ons. Got the garage epoxy floor done, ceiling fans, pendant lights and plantation shutters all installed. My motorized bamboo curtain will be installed probably on Thursday. Signed contracts for the water treatment system and the emergency generator on Thursday and got the contracts all in place for the bird cage enclosure. The built-ins will start in late October. The move is Sunday, 9-26. Can't wait to be done with all of it !!
  18. The Suites Concierge email typically comes between 7-5 days prior to sailing. Lately it has been consistently 5 days prior.
  19. This is my exact experience with our cancelled 9-13, 9-17 and 9-20 Mariner cruises. We cancelled a number of weeks ago (also unvaccinated) and were assured that we would get a refund but we keep getting emails about health questionnaires and notices that we are checked in and ready to sail, etc. ! Normally I know exactly when my cruise is officially cancelled b/c I will get a notification of cancellation of cruise planner purchases (UDP, DBP, etc.) but I haven't gotten any such CP cancellation notifications yet and 2 of these 3 have already sailed. I guess they are desperately holding onto our money as long as they possibly can. Interestingly enough, I also have 2 other cruises similarly cancelled (10-3 and 10-10 Allure) and both of those cruises have been completely refunded already. The 3 Mariner cruises were upgraded casino comps so that might be the difference.
  20. We were on this one and the one before it but had to cancel due to vax protocols. Have a great time !!!
  21. We dove a number of years ago (St. Maarten, as I recall) but had not cruised in many years, prior to that. Nobody asked, nobody checked and everything was fine. I am now faced with another "too old" issue. Now that we are both over 65 we are no longer allowed to dive on Royal Caribbean excursions. My diving days had pretty much been done already so it's not really that big a deal, but I don't like the idea that I CAN'T dive on a cruise, if I wanted to !
  22. I am also a bit leery of CVS. I needed an antibody test so I scheduled one online with a CVS nearby. When I got there for the test, they said they don't even do the antibody tests at that location. I called around and got conflicting information and finally ended up just going to a LabCorp office to get it done. I will not be putting any faith in CVS - particularly for something that is time-sensitive.
  23. We are on this one and the one following....at least, for now. If they allow us to cruise, we will go, but it's doubtful. Keeping our fingers crossed !
