  1. WOOHOO !!! This is the first time I've heard of the CL giving them out. I know the SL does. You ARE special !!
  2. Hmmmm…interesting. Are we looking at its head or its butt ?
  3. Precisely what the rest of us cheese-loathers do !
  4. Boooo.... 1. Feeling bad last night. So sorry to hear it but it sounds like you are bouncing back. Sorry you missed the AT show. Take it slow. I'll betcha the Concierge will get you into the show tonite ! 2. No hippos. They are sooo cute. Maybe the other couple will leave early and you will be able to migrate. Enjoy your day.
  5. I recall reading - some time ago - that SOME very strong magnets can interfere with the electronics onboard, but I don't think little hat hangers are an issue. I've never read that they are/were banning personal magnets
  6. Awesome news !
  7. It's happened to me -- twice. This is important. Call Club Royale back and INSIST that they call the Revenue Department and have your room assigned. This is the ONLY way that you can guarantee that it won't "fall off" (their terminology) again. There are 2 advantages to doing this. #1, you have the correct room category and it cannot fall back to an interior guarantee again. #2. If you have a room assignment, you are able to move to a different room, within the same category, if you are not happy with what they assigned you and obviously, IF there is another room available to move to. Good luck. I would NOT trust them when they say "don't worry". Worry....
  8. They're demo-ing Terminal G ?
  9. Yes, and in my case, it was an indication that something was awry. If it were me, I would call them ASAP...could be that you have somehow, mysteriously, gained a new C&A account. That's what happened in my case.
  10. True. The benefits of full suites on the smaller ships are minimal...but if you value access to the Suites/Concierge Lounge, priority boarding/disembarking and daily breakfast in a specialty restaurant (usually, but not always, Chops), you will not get those things in a JS. If you're ok with not having those amenities then the JS is a good fit. Specifically, my objection to a full suite on the Vision class ships is their location (with a couple of minor exceptions - primarily the 2 BR GS)...way up front beneath the WJ.
  11. Is this the port where the crazy French Mayor was shouting at the Ship from the pier ?
  12. Wow. I've never EVER heard of them combing points.
  13. Good for you ! It paid off today !
  14. Mike, I'm really glad you answered this question before I did b/c I would have said "no" to the UDP use at Vintages ! Vintages used to NOT be included...it's nice to see that they have changed that rule !
  15. This is anecdotal information, as I have never had this situation myself, HOWEVER, from a very reliable Travel Agent over on CC, the casino comp "owner" does NOT have to show up and they will not reprice the cruise at check-in. To be honest, I am very skeptical of this and wouldn't want to chance it myself, but this TA is rarely wrong on things like this. My guess is, if you called and asked Club Royale they would tell you that the person who was awarded the instant cert must be present. I'm confident that is the rule....but according to this TA, they just don't check those things at check-in. Worth a shot ? Not to me, but.....
  16. When I read this, the first thing that popped into my head was, "....so they loaded up the truck and they moved to Beverleeeee. Hills, that is...".
  17. Even if they did yank Mario's status (which they would never, ever do), it would take him no time to get back to being #1 again.
  18. Me too. I LOVE champagne but it doesn’t love me back. It gives me a horrible headache (wine, too).
  19. Cream of mushroom soup for the win !
  20. I just read, on another thread, that while the ship did depart port yesterday, they had to turn around and go back. UGH
  21. Royal no longer serves powdered eggs on the ships (so I've been told) but as @HeWhoWaits mentioned, they do use the eggs from a carton. In the Coastal Kitchen/Chops they will serve you fresh eggs but you MUST ask for FRESH EGGS and even then, sometimes you get chopped-up fried eggs instead, which I really HATE. It's so lazy. Like @DuckHunter, I am a scrambled eggs snob and there's little worse than chopped up fried eggs, rebranded as scrambled eggs !
  22. We have stayed in one of the forward GS on Vision class before. Never again. Lots of noise, particularly in the early morning. Thr aft JS are very nice, but a bit of a trek. No suite perks with the JS though.
  23. Easy one. Cream of mushroom soup for me.
