  1. I think for us the outlet tour was about $20 more per person. The only reason I considered it was for the Disney outlets, but upon reading heard it's hit or miss and long lines. We have plenty of outlet malls near us, so skipped it and went straight for Disney Springs. There's plenty of shopping to do in Disney Springs, but they aren't outlets. I'd say you have plenty to do especially if you do a longer meal. There's also a movie theater, bowling and plenty of places to stop and relax with a drink.
  2. Just did this last week, what an amazing experience! It did sell out for our day, so that may be why it's gone
  3. It may be different for you, we had the goal of seeing the Christmas decorations since I will never willingly travel to Disney around the holidays( and for finding sneakers for my daughter since I forgot to pack some). We took the monorail from TTC to Polynesian Resort. We had breakfast at Ohana with a 9:50 reservation(we got there about 9:30 and wandered then went in early). Took Monorail to Grand Floridian to see the tree and gingerbread houses, then went back on the monorail to Contemporary. We were going to take the bus to Disney Springs from Contemporary but the times kept getting delayed so hopped in an uber for about $9. We got dropped off at the House of Blues end of Disney Springs and just wandered along. Stopped at World of Coke to check things out(polar bear was at lunch) and had a drink at the rooftop bar. Stopped for a few snacks at the carts along the way. Checked out a the few different Disney stores and made our way to the Christmas tree trail. Hit up some more stores and wandered back. We still had about 90 mins before having to be on the bus, so took an Uber to the Poly for about $10(this was a mistake, should've just gone back to TTC as buses were there waiting). Grabbed one last snack and a few more photos, then did the monorail back to the TTC(Mistake 2). The monorail resort loop was extremely slow that day, stopped 5-10 mins at each place. We got there around 4:25 which was fine in reality but I was stressing. I was worried we wouldn't see stop much or would be stressed but we had more than enough time for what we wanted. It was a great day and I would do it again next time if in the port for the same hours(Our Oasis stop is 1-7 so we're staying on the ship).
  4. Depends on your hours. We were just there NYE. Our port hours were 7-7. Ship transportation got us there at 9:15(with bad NYE traffic) and we had to be back at the bus for 4:15. We did Disney Springs and resorts, which was a terrific day. Plenty of people did the parks and I didn’t hear any complaints. It’s up to you if a few rides or just walking around is worth it.
  5. We had an excursion planned for today at CoCo Cay, the swimming with the pigs. 2 nights ago I suddenly had tickets in my room for a new time with rescheduled written on it. No explanation nothing. I asked the shore excursion desk and they said they oversold so randomly selected who to move. This adjusted our plans for the day and meeting up with friends. Another lady on the tour said I should complain and see about a discount. I had t even thought of this, but does that seem reasonable? It did impact our day and seemed to be handled very poorly, but didn’t know if there’s anything that can be done
  6. We just left Bayonne yesterday and the process was amazing. Had the set sail pass on my phone, the app was weird so I used it in my apple wallet but that worked fine. Went through expedited check in and didn’t wait once. Arrive early though, we got here at 10 and had no lines, just waited about 30 mins in the terminal before boarding. Later in the day you could see the lines for coming in and they were crazy!
  7. Thanks all. Will try the app and if not head up to deck 15. To be followed by a drink!
  8. Boarding Anthem tomorrow from NJ. We booked late so don’t have iFly or North Star reservations. I also bought the 3 night dining package so need to make reservations. Which do you recommend first? And where’s the best place to go for each? And does anyone know what deck you board on? Want to have a plan and direction or else I’m sure the little one will get us sidetracked
  9. Have fun! We go the 28th and can’t wait. If you happen to snap a picture of the seaplex schedule would love to see it. There’s not many 8 night itineraries to compare to
  10. Thanks, that's the type of info I was looking for! We already have a plan, just want to know what hours we're working with.
  11. Wow, doesn't sound impressive at all then. The All Access just seems expensive for what it is, and really the galley is my main interest
  12. This is in the cruise planner description: Bottomless Galley Brunch can be included in the 3-4 or 5 Dining Package. I just hoped maybe it would be included in Unlimited, or at least a discount provided(similar to drink package and souvenir drinks or drink classes)
  13. We have the unlimited dining package, is this included or is there any discount? It says it's included with 3,4,5 night packages but no mention of unlimited. And those that paid out of pocket, is it worth it? More interested in the tour aspect that the actual brunch
  14. The fleet guide says Voyager and Freedom class ships feature the Skypad, but from what i can tell it's not on Freedom or Adventure. Will these be added during Amplifcation? Or is that something they are doing away with?
  15. Wow, never knew cruises stopped in Okinawa! We lived there for a few years and it's an amazing place. I'm not sure whats near the port, but I'd recommend renting a car and exploring. Find a random beach and enjoy the day, or head up to the smaller islands. I believe you'll also be close to the Botanical gardens which is a fun stop. I'd avoid going down to Naha, you'll waste a lot of time in traffic and one the main sites (Shuri Castle) unfortunately just suffered a major fire.
  16. That one pic with the empty pool, what happened? Surprised the indoor pool would be down
  17. I may be wrong, but my understanding was you can only apply one credit per booking (per person)? So you can redeem as many points as you want for the highest OBC, but you can't redeem for 4 $50 OBC vouchers just because you have enough points
  18. Has anyone done this excursion recently and can tell me when you got on the bus/ when you had to be back on (and docking times). Not looking to debate the excursion, we are doing Disney Springs and have made up our minds, just trying to estimate how long we'll have to make dining reservations.
  19. It was years and years ago, but we had a very early morning tour of the opera house, got our bags dropped them off, had lunch and then boarded. The tour is quite long if I remember right, may want to try for when you get back. It’s well worth it, but you don’t want to risk missing boarding
  20. Has anyone does either the stingrays or pigs excursions from CoCo Cay? I've always wanted to go to Atlantis,so the day in Nassau is full. Then my daughter this morning said she really wants an animal experience as part of the trip, so trying to see options. We were just going to snorkel and do the pool at CoCo Cay, so I figure 2 hours or so (it says 90 mins) out of the day would be a fun break. Looking to see experiences as well as details (do you have to go back on the ship to meet up, how long is travel, etc). Thank you!
  21. Is there any sort of chart or even list out there of what ships feature what? I.e these ships have ice skating, these have slides, etc? Fairly new to understanding all the classes and differences so was looking for a quick comparison guide(or am I totally crazy and should make my own?)
  22. No, the "natural" pigs are in Abaco. Those from Nassau are pure tourist traps. We really wanted to do this but there was no reasonable way to the real place in Abaco
  23. When is your trip? If I recall, Disney has free wifi most places, I know resorts and parks do. It looks like they say online Disney springs does too, so that should be helpful. As for dining, depends what your group wants. It may be hard to do character meals due to timing, would have to be a super early dinner but maybe 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian? Heard great things about Polite Pig in Disney Springs but never been myself. Honestly, my favorite is just lots of snacks.
  24. Going 12/31, so i'm sure crowds will play into it all. Will try to remember to update when we get back. Resort buses are super easy to catch. Every resort has a bus area, you just get in line for the location you want and hop on when it arrives. Depending on time of day/which area, the lines may be long, but mid-day is decent. I think the app even now shows the bus schedules to arrival, but I wouldn't rely on it. If you are worried about buses, I'd stick to the monorail loop(Grand Floridian, Poly, Contemporary). You'd need a bus, or uber/taxi to get to Disney Springs and back. It may be easier at Disney Springs to uber back to TTC, as they go there directly vs taking a bus and then monorail/walking over.
