Room service has been hit or miss for us but mostly good. Breakfast is great if you get to it before everything gets cold. Late evening/night has been good so far.

@lovetheplaya...looking forward to following along. We will also be on the Wonder cruise on February 9th and happy to answer any questions you have. First time on Wonder but we have been to the ports several times (doing Hideaway Beach at PDCC, Daniel Johnson Sloth and Snorkel, Paradise Beach in Cozumel, and a Royal Dune Buggy excursion in Costa Maya.

Once you get the reservation number for Royal, you can add it to your list of upcoming cruises. Yes you can use cruise planner to make purchases like other cruises. I don't think price drop works the same way but maybe someone else can confirm.

Also struggling with the new Royal pricing. Sort of why we never booked a Disney cruise. It was expensive a few months ago but seems to be more expensive now. We are D+ and have multiple cruise booked in next 18 months (Wonder, Utopia, Vision, Odyssey) plus Beyond and Xcel). 2 of those cruises will be on Celebrity Edge class ships. We sailed Princess last year to Alaska and the wifi/drinks/gratuities included were fantastic.

@walleyealx...........how was it? We are two adults considering a suite on Star and curious how your experience was.

@barjoe....we can't book February 9th Wonder sailing either.

Just returned from our Oasis Holiday sailing and everything seemed to be business as usual. Didn't notice much of a difference. Aqua Theater- unopened beer Pub- open beer Playmakers- open beer (and pitcher of beer !) Lime and Coconut - open beer Solarium Bar - unopened beer Royal Theater - unopened beer Blaze nightclub- unopened beer Several members of our party had drink packages and limited to one alcholic drink per visit. Thankfully, water bottles unopened every time.

Drink card was available last two days of Harmony cruise in October, but not available last week on Oasis.

What happens if one cabin has two occupants and the other has a single occupant and you move one of the occupants to the single occupant when you get on the ship? Does the original single occupant still get "double" C & A points because that's how cabin was booked or does it go away when the other occupant moves in?

You are correct a lot of people are sailing now.

Something was bound to trigger enforcement sooner or later. On our Harmony sailing this Halloween, we saw a lot of "hoarding" of beers and water bottles each night and reluctance of some bar staff to comply. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Someone highly intoxicated causing issues is a bad look for any business but that is just my opinion.

@Last2Know....bar staff not knowing or being consistent with rules can be frustrating. Let us know if senior staff has any constructive ideas. @TXcruzer... Holiday sailings must be a busy time for Royal. Perhaps they could have waited until after the Holidays to start enforcing.

What have we learned so far? Yes, Royal is now enforcing a little used beverage policy. No more unopened alcoholic drinks before leaving venue. No more unopened drinks if you have DBP. Curious time to start enforcing the policy, don't you think? Wonder if backlash will prevail.

I must attend a lot of unruly sports and concert events!

Maybe the real solution is to "tip, tip, tip" with your free or unlimited drinks.

Cracking down on DBP abuse.....perhaps. Cracking down on Casino drink abuse...perhaps. Cracking down on loyal Diamond and above users over 4-6 drinks each day......not very smart. I will let you know what happens on our Oasis Holiday cruise later this month. Hopefully it's a nonissue.

Seems to be a HUGE concern for our FB group Holiday cruise. They seem to be in Full panic drinks are being opened before receiving. Sodas, water bottles, beer, etc. Taking caps off water bottles is done at sporting events. We collect beer bottle caps and always ask for them at bars and dining, maybe that won't be allowed any more. We are also "guilty" of getting a can of beer or water bottle to take back to room each night.

Sorry if I missed this in another thread. Seems to be quite a bit of grumbling online about bar staff opening bottles of water and cans of soda/beer before handing them to passengers. Any truth to this, and if so, why would Royal want to do this?

Congratulations and quick thinking for remembering your passport. My parents forgot passports about 7 years ago( before the pandemic. I went to their house, grabbed passports, drove 75 minutes each way to airport and gave them to airline representative at ticket counter for safe transport to Florida. It was the airline version of a courier service. They carry mail all the time. Passports arrived safely that evening and parents had enjoyable trip. Not sure if it's still an option but worked well at the time.

We were just on Harmony for Halloween. Lots of duck hiding took place. I think there will be ducks on your cruise too. Bring some of your own to hide to add to the fun.

New State Department warnings to avoid travel to Haiti.......any chance Royal will skip Labadee again?

We witnessed an ugly incident at Coco Cay last year. Two chairs in the shallow part of the Oasis Pool. With towels and sunscreen but otherwise empty for two hours. A couple came by, moved the towels and sunscreen and took over the chairs. 15 minutes later, original occupants of the chairs showed up after a jetski excursion and lunch and demanded their chairs back. New couple said "No." Voices were raised. Unpleasant words were exchanged. Threats were made. More unpleasant words exchanged. A drink attendant called a supervisor to try and calm everyone down. Nobody backed down. We had been there two hours and offered our chairs and went to lunch. No idea what happened after that.
