Hi! I will know for sure after December 22, when I am on Spectrum also in J4. However, I understand that they are hosting the Diamond Happy Hour in the Silver Lounge, which would lead me to believe that everyone who has Silver Lounge access will have happy hour drinks. If true, this is a nice perk for Junior Suites on Spectrum -- normally JS doesn't get access to the Concierge Club or Suite Lounge for happy hour. I plan to blog my trip so I'll be sure to let everyone know.

Hi, all!  I’d booked the Spectrum of the Sea in Dec.  Now just 90 days to go.  Are there any benefits for early check-in right now?  (Not yet paid the remaining balance) or actually no differences to do so in Nov?
 Sorry as I’m a new cruiser, maybe this is a silly question.

We definitely used to leave our then-3 year olds past 10pm. They would have a GREAT time with the staff, watching movies, etc. Potty training aside, they loved it.
We prefer to feed our kids at the Windjammer at 6pm and then drop them off at AO at 7pm, and then enjoy dinner in MDR at 8pm.
Nothing wrong with dining with your kids in MDR at all, just our personal preference.

Hi! We're living in Tokyo right now, so I totally get the "cheaper to fly to Asia" bit! We've done several cruises in the region and had a great time.
Asia cruises have far fewer sales. Our best results have come from using Next Cruise onboard. So hop on a short cruise out of Sydney or Brisbane and get to booking! ? 
Rumor has it specifically the China-based (Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai) sailings will charge for the things that are complimentary in other areas, like north star, etc.
I will have a bunch more first-hand info for you at the end of December, as we will be sailing on Spectrum out of Hong Kong and I promise to blog as much as possible!
As for Osaka, the port is pretty close to Universal, so I don't see why you couldn't go there, depending on how long your ship is in port. I will say that my favorite thing in Osaka is actually the aquarium next to Legoland, though -- best one I've ever been to anywhere in the world -- so keep that one in mind if you like aquariums at all!

We are interested in trying one of the specialty dining (Hibachi) with our 10 yr old son on our Mariner cruise in October.  I don't see a child's price for booking nor do I see a children's menu. Can anyone give me info on booking a specialty dinner with children?
