  1. I am on a charter this January; I am really hoping everything stabilizes and we're good to sail.
  2. I did not know that the 3 refers to more than 2 guests. This is good knowledge to have.
  3. Apologies - I did try searching the message board but didn't see this specific question asked. If we have an FCC that lists three people on the FCC; and we are cancelled out of our July cruise. There is literally no time available for us this year and next (with existing reservations) where we could all sail. Is it possible to use the three person FCC separately, meaning on our own or do we all have to sail together to utilize the FCC?
  4. I called C&A and they offered no help and I had to walk the representative through what was happening. I’ll call the TA tomorrow to see if she can figure anything out.
  5. I really hope that they are; it’s just another frustration in dealing with the switcheroo. Hard to move four balcony cabins when you don’t know the cost/availability.
  6. They’ve listed the December 4th cruise and it’s saying no balconies are available. Are they really sold out or are they holding blocks for previously booked guests?
  7. Right now I have three: Navigator July 5, 2021 July 9, 2021 Odyssey Potentially December (pending group discussion)
  8. I will be vaccinated; I just wonder if there are any testing logistics that will be difficult. Thanks - I will check it out!
  9. This was it! I tried looking on her insta but couldn’t find it.
  10. Yeah, that’s what I was afraid of; but, if we do the December cruise maybe the planner purchases will be about the same come this Black Friday.
  11. Question if we opt for the December eight night cruise none of the cruise planner purchases will transfer over? The sales we got during black Friday will be lost, right?
  12. I remember watching either a TikTok or Instagram story from Captain McCue on Celebrity where they go through flush the toilets, run the water in the sinks and shower at least once a day.
  13. Hello all I am currently booked on a B2B on Navigator in July; and I am really torn on what to do, and have so many questions. Will they allow people to do a B2B right now? Do I pay for the cruises and try to get more FCC? Do I cancel and just reapply the existing FCC to a different sailing? Will she even sail from the states or be foreign ported? All of these things are what I have going through my mind as the final payment date is coming up in mid April. I really love cruising, but, it's been a bit of a headache trying to plan four cancelled cruises with FCC and ensuring the proper balances were used.
  14. There are a lot of things going on with RCL that are not friendly to the customers. I wish they would have included the fares; it would make this decision easier. As of right now, I am thinking of suggesting to all of the people booked with us that we cancel, get the money back and then cruise when things stabilize. There are way too many variables for me in cruising. Plus it's a full time job to try and figure out Royal's math on FCC/Refunds and I don't have it in me to try and work through all the differences.
  15. Part of me sarcastically thinks the nine night will not be much difference in price than the five night they are offering.
  16. I am completely disappointed. This will be the second Odyssey cancellation we have had; and the change to a five night just isn't right to me. I know that booking a cruise during the pandemic was a fools errand, especially with the number of other cancellations I have had. I was however, really looking forward to this trip. It was the make up for the Hawaiian cruise, and then the first odyssey being cancelled. We have three other staterooms that were booked at the same time, all the cabins together; excursions and drink packages bought during the holiday sale. I doubt they will honor the prices if we opt for one of the eight night cruises.
  17. Other cruise lines don't seem to have an issue with knowing drinking habits, and pricing the package at one price before you step onboard. I find the Royal process of buying, watching for a sale, cancelling, purchasing, and repeating tedious. But, as a sale can have a significant cost savings I do it. I would much rather know that for my upcoming Serenade voyage the price is $XX.XX per day vs checking daily on sales. I also wonder what type of transaction costs they have to eat because people do this; on my last Transatlantic voyage we purchased and cancelled the beverage package five times, because rates would drop, and it was a better deal.
  18. It's what other lines do, and makes the pre-cruise purchases much easier to plan and execute.
  19. I am one of the people that purchased it for $18.00 a day, and I thought it was low until I saw that it was a Special Offer. With the amount of sales, price changes, and varied pricing that comes into play with the cruise planner I honestly wasn't sure. Will I be irritated if they cancel - no. However; their handling has been less than stellar. Keeping the price on the cruise planner for hours, mixed information provided to multiple different parties. It's like a master class of how not to respond to an issue of your own making. I don't expect Royal to be like Cathay Pacific but, their way of handling their pricing issue is above and beyond. Lastly - other cruise lines don't discount their drink packages, the price is the price, and I would much rather see Royal do an across the board price adjustment to list one price per ship for their drink packages rather than the incredibly irritating buy, find a cheaper price, cancel, purchase, wait for a refund, and potentially repeat the entire process over and over again until you sail.
