  1. Just going to put this out there, but I happen to like my Speedo (even when I didn't necessarily have the body for it--I feel better about it now because of the fact that I have been working out regularly for the last two years). It's been my experience that some (not all) persons' discomfort with the Speedo is a reflection on their own body discomfort. Let's remember that cruising is an international past time and there are different views on swim wear in other parts of the world.  **getting off my soapbox**

All this said, my husband in one of our contacts with Royal customer service asked specifically about whether or not Speedos were allowed in the pool area and Royal said yes and made no distinction about the family areas versus the adult areas.

  2. My husband is legally blind because one eye is a prosthetic, but still can see well enough to drive, etc. So agreed, disabilities are not always apparent. That said, IMO, I think these folks were taking advantage of the service dog policy. I would have also complained to the kitchen staff about the dog being held near food. Regardless if the dog was not "doing it's business", it could have been shedding, etc.

My guess is that the owners use pee-pee pads for their dog. And in that case, I feel sorry for the cabin steward finding that in the room's garbage...

  3. Seconded.

My advice is check to see if everything is spelled right. I had a problem early on using Cruise Planner because my husband and I have a hyphenated last name and we didn't know right away how our Travel Agent put us into Royal Caribbean's system since special characters weren't allowed.
