How long does it take to get a new FCC after a completed cruise when you have excess funds from a previous FCC applied to the completed cruise? Thanks.

Get some home tests and check beforehand a few times. After testing negative a few times, you'll feel better.

The best flight for my upcoming cruise is on Jet Blue. I'm always nervous to fly smaller airlines as I've heard horror stories about Spirit and other smaller companies. I would appreciate any input. Thanks. It would be a red-eye flight.

One more observation. The fact that we're discussing suite lounge issues must mean things are getting back to normal.

I guess I see things differently. If you pay extra for a suite you should get the perks. Isn't that why they're so much more expensive and guests pay more?

There are whiners and angry people in every group. In my experience, they stand out so much because the ones I've seen are so loud and vocal. I almost cringe when I go by guest services, almost everyone is irate about something. Nevertheless, the problem still remains. Suite guests pay substantially more and will want to use the lounge. I can't think of a solution that will please everybody.

You're fortunate. On almost all my sailings pre- pandemic, it had become way too crowded. After the first dinner seating it did get better but unfortunately I felt like I was treading on Pinnacle territory. Since I soon will be one, I will try to be more gracious. Sometimes I think of them as the angry cruisers and I don't want to be like that.

There has been a problem with Pinnacles in the suite lounge for a long time and unfortunately I don't know what the answer is. I myself am closed to becoming Pinnacle but I know what is like to pay extra for a suite only to find all the chairs in the lounge lined up and filled with Pinnacles, sometimes even giving nasty stares when my wife and I try to find a seat.

They're still going to the viking lounge. The service is very good though.

I've used the emed tests for 3 cruises and they were wonderful. 1000 times better than going somewhere to get tested.

Maybe not but I still think that following the CDC guidelines gives them a much stronger defense.

I would expect all the cruise lines to opt in strictly for legal protection. A lawyer sued RC after his client negligently dropped a baby out of a window. Ironically, without having the CDC as a defense mechanism, unethical lawyers would come up with all kinds of bogus claims.

Please don't give CDC any ideas.

I can always hope. I remember hearing that there was no way an Oasis class ship would ever come to Galveston and that was wrong.

Doubtful it's a crew issue. Most cases are asymptomatic or resolve shortly. Even with current guidelines they wouldn't be quarantined that long and some sailings are canceled through April. Just my guess.

I'm wondering if the cancelations are due to ports rejecting ships. Why else would they cancel?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but when Florida won their lawsuit against the CDC, didn't that establish that the CDC didn't have the authority to shut down the cruise industry. Maybe someone has that authority but i don't know who that is. If anyone knows, please enlighten me.
