Thanks. I don't think reserving an Uber affects the price. Galveston is exploding with cruises and I was worried about this happening.
-
Has anyone recently taken an Uber on Sunday morning from Allure to Bush airport? Did you have to wait long and how much was it? Thanks
-
Sounds wonderful. We'll be on the Apex again but maybe Beyond next time.
-
We were on Apex and really enjoyed it. My only issue with the retreat was that it was too crowded. Did they change anything on Beyond to help accommodate the number of people in the retreat. We could never find chairs in the shade so we would go to the solarium. This was fine since we thought the solarium was very nice but the retreat is still nicer.

allure returns in 2026 All Things Galveston

I wasn't actually meaning a port to cruise from, I meant as a stop from Galveston. I think Corpus as a home port would be a tough sell, but maybe it could also be a stop. I'm thinking along the lines of Key West.- 971 replies

Crazy idea perhaps but maybe they could develop some new ports, how about South Padre Island for one?- 971 replies

Excellent information. Thank you very much. Just one other question, would Clear help at MCO? I already have TSA pre-check.
-
I would be flying out Monday morning.
-
I am looking at some of their cruises but my big questions involve the airport. What would be a reasonably early time to get a flight out? I can carry luggage off and have tsa pre-check. Thanks.
-
Anyone have any ideas when Celebrity cruises out of Miami for 2024-2025 will be released? Thanks
-
We're on Summit which is a small ship. By 10, pretty much everyone should be off. I was hoping to wait in the terminal in the boarding area lounge. We are in the 1st boarding group. I'm not sure why they start at 11:30, it seems awfully late.
-
Thanks. Not really any time to do anything. Maybe a nap in the airport after we get our luggage.
-
I have a Celebrity Cruise coming up and check in is at 11:30. Our flight arrives around 7am. What time does the terminal open so we will be able to wait inside? Thank you.
-
Funny, I didn't think to check the itinerary. Yes, mine says 7am too. Thanks.
-
How long did it take and what time were you at the airport? Also, Miami has bad security lines. How was it in FLL? Thanks.
-
Just a reminder, a short time before Royal stopped sailing out of California, there were many problems in Mexico. In Puerto Vallarta, a Carnival excursion bus was robbed at gun point. I had heard multiple reasons for why they left California, from problems in Mexico to problems with California, to problems with the dock workers. I don't think much has changed. The key is to be careful but drugs and the cartels are as bad now as ever.
-
Just to confirm, did you mean Ft. Lauderdale airport? Thanks.
-
Our cruise returns on Monday morning to Miami. It is a small Celebrity ship. Is a 11:39 flight out of Ft Lauderdale reasonable? Thanks.
-
Does anyone know what time disembarkation starts? Thanks

It's so complicated that I'm really having a difficult time making a determination. I know Allianz is very comprehensive, but the devil really is in the details. I read the credit card coverage and it's difficult to find all the "covered reasons" and exclusions. I'm sure I'll figure something out but it isn't made very easy. Thanks for the input.
-
I usually get an annual Allianz Travel policy but I have fortunately never needed to make a claim. Has anyone compared or had experience with the travel insurance coverage provided by high end credit cards? Should I stay with Allianz or are there better options. Thanks.
-
Yes you can. Just get an open booking. I think you have 2 months to book to get the onboard perks. After that you have a year to book but you lose the onboard perks. I think you still get the reduced deposit. Check with Next cruise and they can tell you for sure.

Diamond Voucher Count Spotted on Receipt

Now that there aren't unlimited free drinks in the lounge it has become a very relaxed and quiet venue. It used to be very chaotic. There have been very few people in the lounges on my last few cruises. I would not be surprised if they get rid of them in the future. Just a guess.
