Looking for recommendations for travel insurance please. Things that I'd want covered are preexisting medical conditions, cancel for any reason, medical evacuation. Looked at the one from Royal Aon and Costco travel uses Travel Guard. Any other suggestions appreciated.

Now that it was mentioned it was a text from Cellular@sea didn’t know what that was. Then I realized that my phone wasn’t in airplane mode. Didn’t get a bill, just curious what that was.

When I was on the Allure I asked my waiter about gratuities. He said that seniority played a part in the percentage. My cabin attendant also said the same, he was in training and would be moved to general cabins next sailing. He said cabin attendants want the Suites because it pays more and less cabins to service.

Strange just checked and the itinerary still shows Glacier Bay as a destination. Wonder how many people will cancel their cruise? I was looking at doing a Glacier Bay cruise on Royal.

@CHRIS WONG do you or family members get discounted rates for cruises? Do you get discounted airfare or hotel rates?

Hopefully my MEI t/a is holding a Junior suite. Depends on how much vacation time I'll get next year. Doing Alaska next year on NCL because we did our honeymoon on them. Plus NCL has been in Seattle for 20 years next year. But I really enjoy Royal so I'm looking at more cruises on Royal. Hopefully Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Well that doesn't make sense. The ship hadn't even castoff yet. So the only thing I can think of was it was "just" a text "welcoming" me to their service? As I said before I should have just asked the Oracle @twangster! Haha!

When I was on Allure still in FLL port I forgot to turn on my airplane mode and used the internet and got a text from Sea something about if I continued I'd be charged rates from them. So I turned on airplane mode. That's why I was asking because my phone showed cell service as I had full bars. Just curious why my cell service wouldn't work in port on a ship?

Thanks @Matt! What happens if you are in port where you have service but you are on the ship and try to use your data/cell service? Do I connect to my provider or would I pay that insane amount of $6-8 per minute?

Thank you for the information @WAAAYTOOO I'm looking at a Junior suite and hoping a owner or Grand 1 bedroom opens before final payment. There's not much in way of what an Oasis class ship offers suite guest so I wasn't sure it would be worth the price jump?

@WAAAYTOOOare you going on the group cruise? If so do you think a suite is worth it? There's on a 2 bedroom and Royal left. Couldn't see spending that much for that class of ship.
