Cant wait to hear how it worked, or if it worked. Any updates?

The app worked perfectly.  The one thing that threw me off was that it gave a Cost ($$) for our reservation when booking through the app.  The staff on the ship said to disregard that cost, and just book... Our dining package would cover that cost.  So, it worked great, and I didn't have to wait in any lines.

As great as the dining package was, my wife and I did miss the main dining room and did eat there for two meals. (no, lobster night wasn't one of them)

  2. I really need to get better with the search function on this board...

Our party is on the Unlimited Dining package for our cruise next week on Symphony, and we're trying to figure out what to pack.  Would shorts with a polo shirt be acceptable for Specialty dining?

We're planning on Wonderland, Chops, 150 Central Park, and Jamie's.  All suggest "smart casual" which states "Smart Casual: Think of this as a step up from your typical dinner wear. Dress to impress with collared shirts, dresses, skirts and blouses, or pantsuits. Jackets, sports coats and blazers are snazzy and welcomed."

I'm on vacation and want to enjoy great food at my own comfort level, but I also don't want to under-dress for the venues.  If it requires a few additional pairs of khakis in my luggage, so be it.

If you happen to be staying in a Grand Suite or better, the suite concierge will send you a welcome email about a week before the cruise ......... you can reply to that email and ask them to book the restaurants and times you want for each day and it will all be booked for you before the cruise.

I'm just a lowly balcony dweller, but thanks.  ?

Hopefully can catch the Royal Wifi in the terminal and get a jump on those reservations!

  4. Apologies if there are multiple threads on this, but I couldn't find them (maybe keyword issues)

I noticed that the Royal App now offers a reservation option, which is new from my last cruise.  Our party has the Unlimited Dining package... Will we be able to use the app to book our reservations once onboard, or will we need to go to a kiosk to book?

Less than 2 weeks with the Dining and Beverage packages on Symphony of the Seas!  Can't wait!

  5. Good Morning-

We will be heading out of Miami on SOTS on Feb 22nd (getting excited), and will be traveling with our 18 month old.  We traveled with her when she was 9 months (Allure last May), and she did great.  A few questions that I'm hoping others might be able to answer from experience on Symphony....

    * At 18 months, our daughter is tall (98th percentile)--  still too small to sleep on the pull out, but much too large for the half-sized pack n' play that we had on Allure.  According to RC (called yesterday), the pack and plays that they offer are full sized... Has anyone had experience on Symphony?  Are they the full sized pack and plays?

    * Any recommendations for traveling with an 18  month old? (especially on Symphony)

  6. Hello All-

We will be cruising in May (12th - 19th) on the Allure, and will be traveling with our 9-month old.  I have heard that the MDR is awesome with little ones... Has anyone had any experiences with food for infants?  Would they be able to puree carrots, Spinach, etc?  Or should I leverage the Gerber Organics delivery to our room?  In addition to the MDR, any suggestions for infant dining?

If they do puree foods, I'm thinking that it would make sense to create a list of foods & spices that our little one has been exposed to.  We will be feeding her formula & BM throughout the cruise, so these foods are for fun (and some nutritional value, of course).

I tried searching the forums, but came up short on this topic.

    Thanks in advance!

    -Mike
