  1. Yes, although you can look at previous Cruise Compasses from the same ship and similar/same itinerary and they will be very close to the same as what you will get on board. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass
  2. Yeah, 3 and 4 day (possibly 5 and 6 day as well, but I've not sailed those) only have one of those nights.
  3. They are charged on your Sea Pass card. It will include the 18% gratuity. You will get a receipt to sign. You can add additional IF you wish, but you do not have to.
  4. The best prices on Cruise Planner things that I have found have rarely been on Black Friday. I'd personally never hold out for it. The best prices I've found on Shore Excursions haven't even been during published sales, but rather just randomly. I always buy what I want, and reprice it as the opportunity arises.
  5. There is usually no complimentary lobster night on short sailings. Formal night will likely be called "Dress Your Best".
  6. Correction. It's included with a $49.99 surcharge. The nice thing about the UDP is that you can eat at any specialty restaurant as many times as you want. You can do lunch on a sea day at a specialty restaurant and have dinner at a different one (or the same one!). You can throw in a mid-day snack at Playmakers. It's a lot of food. On some ships it includes the food at the English Pub (varies by ship).
  7. Technically, no. In reality, many people wear them and you will likely not be turned away.
  8. Chef's Table is not included in the Unlimited Dining Package. That would have to be booked separately.
  9. I use "I have other plans this year". Ok, usually it's work.
  10. You will find prices in your Cruise Planner. They are typically $25-35 per person per night. Menus can be accessed on the Royal Caribbean app (as well as on the Royal Caribbean website).
  11. I always pack a small USB fan. I've never heard that they are available on board. Someone else may have heard differently.
  12. They'll take it at the port. Don't lose any sleep over it.
  13. You will have no trouble if you choose to do self debarkation (managing your own luggage off the ship in the morning instead of putting it out the night before). Some ports do ask a few nights ahead of time what time your flights are and give you luggage tags/times based on that. You can always go to Guest Services and get a different departure time if the one assigned to you doesn't work for you. We usually just lug our own off of the ship.
  14. We'll never get off the ship in Costa Maya again unless we have an excursion that'll let us out without going through the shops. That area was awful.
  15. You can buy it under just one name. I believe they go by stateroom, so as long as someone from your stateroom is in the photo, it would be part of that.
  16. I guess I don't get this. You can get the Next Cruise certificate that allows you quite a while to book something once off the ship. You don't need to choose your sailing right there and then.
  17. That can happen with any cruise you book that has OBC and you reprice. It has absolutely nothing to do with Next Cruise.
  18. Your times in the ports are on your invoice (near the bottom). You can contact Customer Service at any time. I find the best way is via social media (their official Facebook or Twitter accounts).
  19. Prepaid gratuities are just what they sound like. You pay them ahead of time, and they are not on your bill at the end of the cruise. Many people just prefer to have everything paid off ahead of the cruise. It's a matter of preference.
  20. They are way cheaper than in downtown Toronto. Some of you will understand.
  21. Don't do anything. I get those emails and I've never had children.
