  1. You can always ask. Hooked does have a Surf & Turf option on their menu. I'm sure you could ask for Turf & Turf . Even the kids menu in Hooked offers a kiddie steak option.
  2. Nah. I usually do the same spread out between Walgreens, CVS and a local community site around the corner on the first available day. Then I book backups for the 2nd day just in case. I also know where I can go for last minute pay to play testing sites if needed. As soon as I have the negative test in hand I cancel everything outstanding. My next cruise (on a full ship charter through a different line) is a little trickier as it requires a PCR test to be covered for refunds in case of testing positive at the port, so while PCR is most readily available, I am still taking tests multiple days in a row as a backup in case the first results don't come in time. Fortunately the window is 96 hours for me on that.
  3. 8630 is available..and they are putting someone in that one
  4. Well we are now moved to a hump JS on deck 6..so hopefully that should calm the powers that be down a little. Although there's still RoyalUp bids out there, so I'm sure she will not rest until we sail.
  5. I'd love to see the hot pot concept that they have in the Asian market make it over to the US, but alas. I think Carnival tried a tandoori station on their ships on the lido deck, but I don't see that the concept was repeated in future builds. The US doesn't appear to embrace Indian cuisine which is a shame. At least when you request it on the ships they seem to be very eager and excited to share their cuisine with you!
  6. Yes..that was the predominant flavor of all the meats. They all tasted the same -- salty. I was excited to try it since I am a meat-o-phile but it was pretty meh and a once and done for me.
  7. Pfft PM..original cabin was 8644. Feel free to go and check it out onboard and tell whoever is in there that we want our cabin back
  8. Not having it is better for my health and my wallet's health. I'm much less likely to sample excessively if I have to pay for it. Of course that's a personal thing due to my inability to moderate myself
  9. No, they have been sailing to level 4 countries since cruising began again. Canceling for these reasons would be a step backwards. If anything they will send the ship to different ports if needed.
  10. Yes..lots of different ships and dates. My Nov 21 Harmony cruise was affected.
  11. We got our new room assignment. Still on the same floor and side of the ship but the room is no longer on the hump so we have even less balcony to socially distance on now.
  12. If you go into the Royal Caribbean app and select a sailing when you go to the Main Dining Room menu the vegan menu is listed at the very bottom before the wine list starts..right after the kids menu as you're scrolling through.
  13. This is the Allure menu I couldn't get uploaded earlier.
  14. Allure in the beginning of September we were told the 11-11 was going away per corporate's decision and then a day later the Concierge said corporate changed it back.
  15. I was thinking more along the lines of capacity within "zones". Maybe they have some new air recirculation requirements and need to limit capacity in different zones so they need to redistribute. Doesn't necessarily prevent putting folks into cabins next to each other or rotating which cabins are used from cruise to cruise, but they may determine they can only have a certain amount of capacity in a section of a ship -- kind of like adhering to a CDC version of lifeboat capacity.
  16. I have tried it. I wouldn't spend a night of a 3-night package on it but I'd consider it an option with the Ultimate Dining Package. That said we didn't bother visiting last time we were on Allure and had dining included.
  17. On a positive related note, I had a SW flight this weekend that was a casualty of this. Fortunately I was already on the getting home leg of my travel. I was able to self-book on a flight 12 hours later through the SW app and made it home. I have an annual travel insurance policy which covered the extra rental car charges and meals. SW just sent me an unsolicited voucher for $100 as an apology. My original flight was only $59. One of my traveling companions had rebooked on a different airline and received an unsolicited $250 voucher. And one had actually contacted SW to compliment how easy it was to rebook and that the flight attendants and gate agents we dealt with were still pleasant despite the circumstances and she got a $150 voucher. So it looks like they're trying to at least make it right and be more in line with the customer service levels that they used to be associated with.
  18. Scan your barcode with a barcode scanner on your smartphone and see if you have a room number at the end! You don't HAVE to be invited via email to RoyalUp but not everyone is eligible. You can try directly through the link: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/booked/cruise-room-upgrade
  19. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-if-i-dont-find-a-pre-cruise-test-or-get-test-results-in-time Links for each port are at the bottom.
  20. I was just curious. I have a GTY inside too and noticed that my SetSail all of a sudden had a deck number and muster station but still said REPRINT. I scanned the barcode and the -GTY was changed to a cabin number that would be on that deck, so I assume I got assigned but they didn't want me to know yet Edit to add: This wasn't impacted by the social distancing of cabins thing..just curious about GTY assignments showing up.
  21. Does your SetSail pass show a muster station or deck number on it yet?
  22. They book far in advance so they're subject to scheduling issues with staff and potentially supply issues. If someone calls out and they don't have a backup who can do the testing they would have to cancel.
  23. My same card that gave me the Royal offer also gave me a Delta Airlines offer for $125 back on a single charge of $300 or more. The Terms & Conditions state you can't buy a gift card but in the past it has worked if you purchase them directly through Delta's website using a computer (their desktop site). So YMMV, but if you fly Delta it may be worth taking a shot at a gift card if you don't have a flight to book.
