  1. I wonder what this means for those of us that have already purchased a dining package.
  2. Up until this week's CP sale, Izumi was an a la cart reservation (no charge on the CP, a la cart pricing in restaurant) on the CP, now it shows $49.99 per person on our July 2019 Alaska Southbound. Interesting. . .
  3. Hello all. Another update: my refreshment package has dropped to $17/pp/pd AND the Voom surf & stream for 3 devices dropped another $25. So, in less than a week, Voom internet has dropped $50 for our sailing.
  4. Ha!! See how much a need another cruise?! Full moons definitely impact the classroom! Maybe the black Friday "sales" will have your CP prices back down to their original amounts. ?
  5. @Lovetocruise2002 Why does the last day of school before Thanksgiving always feel like a Friday? I'm already worn out! lol
  6. How does "purchasing" the Bottomless Galley Brunch work if it's part of a dining package? Does it count towards one of the nights, or basically if you have a 3-4 or 5 night dining package it's already covered and no more monies are due?
  7. Hello all. Just a quick heads-up that for my particular sailing, JUly 2019 Southbound Alaska, Voom Surf & Stream 3 device is $10 cheaper than when I repurchased about 6 weeks ago. Today it is $195.93. Oddly enough, the Couples Thermal Pass advertises for $154, but then when you go to choose, the only available option is $179.
  8. Celebrity Edge. Caribbean will be hot. Southern Caribbean even hotter. Celebrity Edge is a new ship. GO FOR IT!!
  9. The "thing" is, is that the refreshment package has been priced at $18/pp/pd ever since we booked, back in April 2018 for this July 2019 sailing. I'd venture to say that the sale price for black Friday will be back to the price that I've been seeing for over 6 months, now.
  10. I was checking the cruise planner for our Alaska Southbound 2019 July sailing. Up until yesterday, the refreshment package was $18. Today it is $26. I had reserved it at the $18/day rate (so yes, purchase when you can afford to), but now I'm wondering about the Black Friday "sales". Are they going to put it on "sale" back to the $18/day price or will they be honorable and really put it on sale?
  11. When I travel (e.g., airport, cruise, train, etc) with my knitting, and I'm not sure as to the status of scissors, I bring a fingernail clipper to cut yarn, instead. Also have use successfully sewing and embroidery. When I get home, then I can clean up the back side of my work.
  12. Hello all. I was looking at "My Calendar" for our Alaska Southbound 2019 in the cruise planner and noticed that one of my excursions was moved ahead by one hour. I would think they would have sent an email to notify us. Not a deal breaker in the least, but it gives me pause about other notifications (I haven't received?). FOMO with a twist. . .
  13. Vancouver, other could take the train down to Seattle. Kind of depends on when Major League Soccer is playing in the area.
  14. Opposite open-jaw. ? Open-jaw is either the Southbound or Northbound, that is, it starts at one port and ends at another.
  15. 2020 Alaska/Vancouver BOOKED on Serenade! Southbound 2019, Close-jaw 2020. YOLO BOOKIT!! Something about those Radiance class ships.
  16. Already put my request into my TA! Woot!!! Hello Alaska 2020!
  17. Just received our payment today for our "cancel for any" reason trip cancel. I wouldn't take a trip over $2k without coverage.
  18. When we priced our Alaska Southbound for July 2019, there was no price difference, from balcony to suite. I am 100% sure as we moved from starboard to port during our rezi process.
  19. Travel Agent! Don't forget your trip insurance, too.
  20. How did you handle the late muster drill and dining the first night? Had you made dinner reservations? Or do people just leave their food on the MDR and come back 30 minutes later? Can you post your URL for your liveblog, too?
  21. I've been reading the cruise compasses for Radiance of the Seas, Alaska Southbound. Question for @twangster and others who have made this sailing: How is dining, reserved and MDR, coordinated with the late muster drill time? I've seen 7pm and 5:30pm (I think it was) in the latest ROTS/southbound Compasses as the drill time. I made our dining rezi for 6:30pm. Maybe we shouldn't reserve anything the first night????
  22. Well, we are out of upgrades (we're in the top tier suite). Top suites are sold out and before they sold out they were $1800 more than we paid. Thanks for your help!!
  23. @Matt So, once it's paid off you cannot apply a price drop/rebook?
  24. Since it's on them, maybe you'll be free upgraded to a suite??
