  1. We all blame you, @SpeedNoodles! Or maybe we all thank you for the humor that followed!
  2. We are one of several couples looking at potential February cruises. One Celebrity sailing is called "Labadee, USVI & Antigua." Labadee is NOT one of the stops included in the itinerary.
  3. I thought the ChatGPT in this case was relatively tame. At least it was (relatively) accurate.
  4. Most important are the deck number and section of the ship that the bags need to reach. Both will be obvious in black and white.
  5. The only way for we "normal folks" to see different stateroom types in person is to befriend individuals staying in those different stateroom types and getting a personal tour of their rooms.
  6. Common sense stopped being common before my kids were born (and they're both in their 30s now).
  7. We went back to our cruise history and did a comparison of where we would be using the Celebrity point system on our Royal Caribbean cruises (best guess on which point level applied to JS on Royal). Even being generous, we would only have reached Elite under Celebrity's system while we are D+ with Royal (thus Elite+). The double C&A points coming out of Covid helped, but as a Granny Smith to Honeycrisp comparison, we would have reached D+ without those extra points on our Celebrity cruise earlier this year if that trip counted at one point per night C&A.
  8. In February, the 15% off premium package upgrade for Elite (we had booked under the "have it all" which includes the basic package) was taken off an unusually low offering price pre-cruise.
  9. Those people need to be better at searching AND they need to understand the point of hiding and seeking.
  10. Scenario A - they don't care who gets the voucher drinks when they are redeemed. Scenario B - if you are clear that you are ordering one drink with a voucher and only one using the package, you should have no issues, especially if you become a "regular" with a particular bartender.
  11. Website updated for me some time after 8:30 p.m. yesterday.
  12. Premium package > 6 vouchers if you're going to use at least 4 or 5 on covered adult beverages. That allows for additional specialty coffees and other non-alcoholic drinks.
  13. Of course not. Tiki Bar = way too many opportunities to injure oneself and penicillin is an excellent antibiotic. Single malt Scotch in a tiki bar just strikes me as hilarious.
  14. "Bamboo Room" and "Laphroaig" in the same breath just seems so incongruous.
  15. It's possible that your $400 has expired. Credits DO have an expiration date. If you have multiple credits, they may have different expiration dates and the system doesn't automatically use the "oldest" ones first. That's on the cruiser or the cruiser's TA.
  16. Royal certainly didn't "invent" the concept. Disney Cruise Line was doing it (and doing it well) long before Royal unsuccessfully ripped off the concept.
  17. One or two actual purchases, all the vouchers, and a casino charge to cash out our unused OBC.
  18. No paper copies for us in suites since the last one we received (which WAS a suite).
  19. You must be in their system as always requesting a paper copy because the last time we received a paper statement was on Liberty in 2016.
  20. If I was otherwise inclined to give a "10" (which is unlikely because 10/10 is perfection and there is rarely a case where perfection is achieved) and hear something resembling "give a 10" the score would go down (just as it does from whatever score has been achieved). 10/10 being the only "acceptable" score means there is no real desire for continuous improvement. If you're not moving forward (improving), you're moving backwards.
  21. Good luck getting a cold beer ANYWHERE outside of the United States and parts of Canada. Of course, on ships with a majority of passengers being US citizens the societal norm should be the ship's norm.
  22. That August timing is consistent with the 6 month contracts for entertainers. Our February cruise on Reflection was the cross-over week of one group finishing up and the next coming on board to start.
  23. The time to complete is so short because they obviously don't think cruisers are smart enough to remember more than a few days after the cruise ends.
