  1. That lack of glass was a bonus for us. We had an aft-facing JS so no glass meant an even more open view and more air flowing through open rails.
  2. And $100 more per person for a cruise just weeks away is unusually low. Glad it worked out with a minimum of difficulty.
  3. I've NEVER had them ask my room number when I presented my card.
  4. Do you believe your teen is mature enough to be left to their own devices? If the answer is "yes" (as I suspect it is), then there's no issue. No different than the same teen disappearing for the day after rising, joining you for dinner, then off on their own again for the evening.
  5. I don't know anything about the place, but it seems to me that going to a bar in Bar would be a must.
  6. We enjoyed Explorer - we're in the "itinerary >>> ship" camp, so that's what got us onto Explorer.
  7. Based on the information shared above, the NTSB got the probable root cause and contributing factor reversed. Root cause is the one factor that if eliminated would have prevented (or at least greatly minimized the chance of) the occurrence. It appears that our governmental agencies don't understand the concept. The most probable root cause was the failure to report the extension. Had THAT been correct, the reliance on electronic charts would (likely) not have created the contact.
  8. I strongly second the port valet option if you're departing directly to the airport upon debarkation. You don't have to touch your bags between the time you put them out on the last night and arrival at your final destination airport.
  9. Like a farmer in his field.
  10. Even so, enough people get off that the venues are much less crowded. Maybe not as much less crowded as you might think, but still very noticeable.
  11. Definitely not the case leaving Baltimore headed for Bermuda (my only Baltimore cruise). By the next morning, we were well into the Atlantic.
  12. Forget the too cold. In March it will almost certainly be dark before you get there. Not much to see at that point unless you're into bridge lights.
