  1. Can I ask how much the corkage fee might be? Debating just leaving the bottle with MDR staff.
  2. Grandkids have all been taken to WDW at least twice each, 1 has cruised. What fun is going fun places if you can’t share them with people you love?? Our daughter had to back out of our October cruise & son is not available so it’s just me & hubby. I will probably want to kill him for the insurance money by day 4!!!
  3. Kinda sad that one could not vacation with their kids. My parents never went anywhere without us! My kids are adults and I still try to take them whenever possible.
  4. On a mobile, go to the main menu and scroll to the bottom of whatever article is there. The yellow request a quote form is between the blog articles.
  5. Happy to (hopefully) get an extra day to test for our 8 day October cruise. We are flying in 2 days early this time so being able to test prior to hopping on the plane will be nice.
  6. Ask your room attendant for wine glasses, pour your wine into said glasses, leave your room. I’ve never seen anyone walk around with the bottle to refill the glass though. We are forgoing the drink package on our next cruise so I plan (if I can find a convenient liquor store near our hotel) to bring 2 bottles of wine. I’ll take a glass to dinner with me each night.
  7. A fair point, it defines me (many times to exhaustion) and is a term my brother and I use often “me centered” and “others oriented”. I’m not afraid of covid but I have a healthy respect for the damage it can inflict. My opinions on the subject are mine and not intended to be foisted on others here. As I said, just want to know what I’m walking into.
  8. And I am an “others oriented” person. My concern is not for me but for asymptomatically carrying the infection home to vulnerable loved ones. And yes, I take precautions in my every day life too. And please don’t tell me it’s time to get on with my life. My job put me at the forefront of this from the beginning. I’m just looking for enough information to make a decision for myself and my family.
  9. No Solarium Bistro on our sailing. One of the things I am looking forward to next time.
  10. Found the suites deck cabanas to be very hot! There is just no air circulation in there at all. We all left hubby sleeping. My favorite spot was the solarium. We will be on Harmony again in May in JSs and, except for being escorted off the ship, can’t think of any perk I will miss.
  11. I did mention less than stellar suites experience. Especially disappointing as I’m not sure we could afford that level of Royal Class again.
  12. I would have happily taken “lobster” night. Perhaps the miracle workers many have posted about no longer exist in the new world
  13. Oh good, new people. Maybe my expectations were too high (from listening to others here!) but I was very underwhelmed back in March. We had Izumi reservations on night 2 that, due to my son’s over enthusiastic use of the DBP, we needed to change. Nope sorry nothing the rest of the week. No suggestions, no let us try & we will keep you posted, no lunch availability, just nope too bad so sad.
  14. Just my opinion. I’m sure there are many that love lunch in the MDR. I just felt the atmosphere was not like dinner, which I enjoy.
  15. On a cool very windy day, we decided to eat lunch in the MDR instead of fighting the crowd at WJ. Never again! It was a very uncomfortable meal. First and foremost, food was not particularly good. Second, the wait staff seemed confused and distracted. One would come over & ask for our order then 5 minutes later another would come over & ask for our order again. Food came out haphazardly & beverage service was almost non existent. Not gonna do THAT again!!!
  16. So what time did you go? On Harmony in March at 75% capacity, never saw anything like that! Wow!
  17. I know NO ONE in CT who would put Mayo on a hot dog or sausage. And we have many better options than plain yellow mustard.
  18. Yeah, I would suggest there are at least as many rude, entitled, ME ME ME adults out there as there are kids. And remember somebody taught (or didn’t!!) those kids. Rude kids had rude adults (or presidents) for role models.
  19. I would think arriving 10 minutes before any activity opened would be a recipe for disaster.
  20. We prepaid gratuities on our Oct 2018 cruise and avoided the increase Matt referenced. Booked Harmony for May, 2023 last weekend and was again able to be grandfathered by prepaying.
  21. I’d sorta like to stay healthy too. If I know a large part of the passengers are unvaxxed, I will adjust my activities accordingly. Just me.
  22. So except for the possibility of some free booze, one would go to this because??!
  23. I would think (and referencing no experience but my own) 8-10am on sea days, 7-9 on port days. You know, the time people actually want breakfast. IMHO a better strategy than what time to go is to keep walking. I think most people stop at the first set of stations they see. If you walk further around, you’ll find more tables & less crowds. I found this especially true when everyone is funneled through one entrance. I learned to walk past that crowd almost to the other (closed) entrance. Practically no one there!
  24. Sadly, manners seem to have gone the way of cursive, just too old fashioned. And in our current political state, unlikely to change. But we can all try! A little kindness can do wonders.
