Yes, a good tip on day one is the plan. We are pretty flexible so we’ll see when we board. If she has to stay in the original cabin, it won’t kill her. Just might need a few more drinks!!

New menus to be rolled out in early 2023
Pooch replied to smokeybandit's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I bring my glass of wine & hubby gets a diet ginger ale from the freestyle machine. Getting a beverage does seem to be something of an issue or at least it was on Explorer last month. Meal length was all over the place and got worse as the cruise went on. -
Just YouTubed our cabin & looks like the same sofa as found in the J3 & 4 to me. If it indeed doesn’t open, won’t be the first time she or I have slept on a couch!

It’s free in the lounge because the inconvenience of going there keeps the numbers down. It is not intended to be a full service bar. The bar on the suites deck is.

Thanks!

J2s? My daughter is booked in a balcony with her brother & cousin and I’m guessing she won’t really want to stay with them. Ours is a J2. If the sofa opens, my plan is to tip the steward up front to open/close it.

Do the sofas in all the suites turn into beds? Even the ones in a 2 person cabin?

Neither of these show up when I log onto the RCCL site. Is there a secret password??

Unless you can’t control the urge to spend it on something else, put it in an account & pay when final payment is due. I never give anyone my money before I have to.

He’s the least adventurous eater of the bunch and the one I’m most concerned about. Not sure he’d appreciate the show either. It’s my daughter who really wants to go.

Cruise Control Transportation or Cortrans Transportation, both have excellent service. I fly into MCO and book a hotel in the Samoran Blvd area. Lots of hotels in every price range there along with restaurants in walking distance. Most, if not all, will pick up from the airport, many have a complementary breakfast & the shuttle services mentioned pick up from them. Then they will return you to the airport after the cruise. $15-20 pp each way.

Expect to be a party of 7 adults if I can get everyone to agree on it!
-
So you ordered everything?
-
How does it work? Do you get something from each category? Are some categories appetizers and others entrees? How do you decipher the items? Trying to decide if hubby will go.

We thought the food on Explorer was ok. Crab cakes, Coq au vin, beef bourguignon were EXCELLENT. Hubby got tenderloin that was very undercooked and the replacement was inedible. Everything else was decent but not noteworthy.

I’ve filled mine, drank it & refilled standing at the machine.

I give my MEI TA my parameters (length, general destination and date range) and she gives me options. I also give her feedback after a cruise so she learns what we do/don’t like which helps her to tailor her recommendations.

Royal Caribbean charges for extra plate, Main Dining Room
Pooch replied to John63's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
My husband regularly orders 2 appetizers, sometimes I like several appetizers instead of an entree. Extra plates doesn’t necessarily mean gluttony. -
Carnival taking action re chair hogs
Pooch replied to Mike.s's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
See now we never left the chairs unattended. Our butts were in them unless we to a quick pool break to cool off. -
Hubby’s phone goes in the safe for the duration.

If he’s anything like my husband, he doesn’t care. Logistics are my job.
