  1. Let me know and can help you with Island secrets.
  2. Ya I would book it as soon as you can because I agree, it will go up and probably soon too.
  3. That's actually not too bad considering its Air Canada. From Cayman to Pearson on a sale I can get Westjet around $400 US round trip but on sale, Air Canada is around $1000 US Plane tickets are unlike cruise bookings in that it's more luck of the draw and can't really ask for a discount later. So good luck hunting.
  4. My wife got me hooked on Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) by Enya sounds so good lol. I also would suggest some steel pan (that's the Caribbean sound you hear at many ports.)
  5. I agree with @Sabrinaklai that extra drive (when I lived in Hamilton actually was around the same if the border was clear) was well worth the savings. The cheapest I ever found out of Toronto was Westjet everything else was so high. I would recommend buffalo or if closer to London check Detroit as well. Also wow flies pretty cheap from Toronto (been checking to visit family before Europe trip)
  6. Living in Cayman we have a backup port on the other side of the island that is normally better tender conditions for when the main port is closed due to weather. You have the chance all year round for a port closure but normally its what we call northeasters (coming from the North with cold windy conditions that don't seem to like our warm climate.) These normally bring small craft advisories so no tenders. As the other port is right near my house and I can see the boats from my house as I head to work, I would say I have seen a lot more there since around November. So from that, I would say (at least this year) its been a *rough winter. No in April there might be some rain but I think you should be okay.
  7. That's great news I saw something in the post @Matt shared about chrome desktop so might set that up as a backup. Was going to leave my good laptop home but think I might take it just in case. Better to have limited work access then find out I have none at all lol.
  8. Wow, I honestly have never had that happen. They pretty much said well just ask the person next to you not to (thankfully the smell only makes me uncomfortable and itchy so not severe (unless ingested) so it was okay but ya I have never had anyone do that. (although it has been awhile since on Delta). This is me with gluten. I avoid it 99% of the time but in a situation like a cruise I may not necessarily go out of my way but will try to stick to gluten-free when possible. But my EpiPen and Benadryl are my best friends for nuts. Now my biggest question is the stops. Sorry @Jacque for going off topic.
  9. Just wanted to let you know seems good now. Thank You.
  10. It is much easier then I would say a couple years ago. I'm gluten intolerant and on many of the gluten-free brands, they are also dairy and nut free. I am guessing if you are already doing one it works out better to do them all and to be honest they taste just as good for the most part. But yea it would be difficult. (hopefully not affected by smell that would be really hard now too, look at planes)
  11. If anyone is visiting Grand Cayman and wants to know, where to eat, what to do, the better beaches. I am here for you as I #livewhereyouvisit lol. I can recommend some places for the best bang for your buck. So if you're not sure what to do yet or just plan to try something local I should be able to recommend a few things :).
  12. There's a few. You can search norovirus on amazon and some will come up. I'm getting the Clorox brand though because its cheaper and we are on a budget lol
  13. Hi All, I use teamviewer regularly for work. I own my own business so I need to be able to access my work computer to answer customers emails. So I was hoping someone has been able to have some type remote desktop system. Our local (terrible) internet provider makes us use their modem, so not really able to modify it and I don't really want to get another piece of hardware unless it is absolutely necessary. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  14. I'm guessing the same would apply to my 8 night cruise. I couldn't remember when they brought it on the last one and NCL doesn't do formal nights so no lobster.
  15. To add to @Matt NYE is a busy time and will have more people on board so that can also be a factor. That being said you should be able to find a more quiet spot to relax. If you are wanting to take part in the main NYE activities I would believe there would be alcohol in the main area. I have not been on an NYE cruise but this is an observation from past cruises and from living in the Caribbean tourist area.
  16. I am buying hand sanitizer that claims to kill norovirus and wipes because you can never be too careful. If I'm at least clean it should help at a minimum. Plus I have been sick with what seems like everything this winter.
  17. So my wife decided it probably isn't worth it. Shes most likely only going to do a couple classes, probably on sea days, and use the other gym facilities the rest of the time.
  18. You could look at wowair. They are budget but they have sales for around 199 each way to Europe from Toronto. So might be worth looking into. They don't have many stops but I know for sure Barcelona (we have been looking for next years cruise.)
  19. Not sure of every ship but I think so. RCL has confirmed (but we all know how phone confirmation is) and normally a $5-$7 up fee for alcohol but it might depend on the drink. I'm not sure something like a rum and coke would apply since the soda is not really any extra. I have not done this yet but will be doing it on my March cruise since it would work out MUCH cheaper for me.
  20. I have a question for kids activities (We don't have kids yet but plan to soon, just getting some travelling out first lol) did your kids do any kids activities? If so how did they compare? I too have severe nut allergies and that has always been the best part. Even with the buffet, if they weren't sure they would bring out the chief and confirm or in the case of desert (more common to have nuts) would make a whole new batch.
  21. So my wife and I were thinking if we went bigger which ship we would try. After seeing this I think the quantum class might be better with all this. Thanks @twangster .
  22. There are many great ones and many bad ones. That's why I say to shop around. If they seem like they care about you, they are more likely to actually take care of all your needs. Where you get some who act like your bothering them by talking to them. (If its the latter run... run fast lol)
  23. I also found a cheaper version on Amazon for around $30-$40 and is water resistant so if near the pool it can get splashed on. I'm also getting a cable I can use to attach it to a beach chair to help deter people from taking your things. I have multiple cameras and my phone with me on most trips (need to get the best photos/videos), so I'll be getting something for sure.
