Hooper got a reaction from Neesa in Curiosity regarding Odyssey sailing
I doubt they'd swap you over to another ship automatically.  More likely just cancel the sailing.  I'm in the same "boat" (excuse the pun).  We have a BTB booked for November 28 and December 4, 2020, and I'm getting a little nervous.  I may, in the next few days, book another sailing for the same dates (maybe Symphony), and then cancel it if Odyssey does end up being delivered on time, and use the credit for a future sailing.

I think I'll stick with Oasis / Allure / Harmony... I love the fact that despite more then 5,000 guests, the ship never feels crowded.  6,000+ in a smaller ship?  I guess it's workable...

As for the B2B question... I've had alcohol "accidentally" delivered at the end of the first week once, and then last year, they held it until the end of the second week.  So, it's 50-50 whether you get it...

Royal Caribbean has made it known in any and every forum/Q&A session on a ship that I have been part of that they replace their production shows every 5-6 years.  Therefore, they are on schedule with changing up the shows on Oasis in 2014 and should be doing the same on Allure sometime next year. I have no problem with the choice of Cats and in fact preferred Chicago over Hairspray.  I also have enjoyed Saturday Night Fever on Liberty and am looking forward to Mamma Mia on Quantum.

My wife is a Broadway junkie but not a Cats fan (she really doesn't like Andrew Lloyd Weber musicals) but that's personal taste. Obviously Cats' run on Broadway indicates it was a pretty popular show so I'm not too worried about its mass appeal factor.

If you don't love Cats, at least take solace in Royal Caribbean actively changing things up and not being accused of not offering enough variety.  Considering we, the very frequent cruiser, are always looking for what's next, it's good to have changes and something different to experience.

I really liked Hairspray and would be slightly saddened to see it replaced by something else, but that said, I think it's more important that Royal Caribbean do what's necessary to keep the entertainment fresh for repeat cruisers.

That said, I really didn't like Chicago, and now I'm hopeful to see it replaced by another Broadway production when Allure of the Seas goes into drydock.

I have to admit, I like the recognition aspect of these events.  The booze isn't anything amazing and the topics discussed rarely "rock my world" but it does mean something to me that the company recognizes its loyal customers.

The helipad gathering on Oasis is worth it, it's normally a closed area, and it's neat to see the ship from a new perspective.  I think it requires Platinum or Emerald level to participate.
