    On our first cruise - EVER - last year, our flight was delayed 5 hours due to mechanical issues.  Matt always stresses how you should fly out the day before and it is golden advice.  We always, always will.

    When I have sailed in the past (Carnival)  I usually book Lido deck rooms, so they are on the same level as the buffet.  That way when I get up for my morning walk at 5, I can go walk a few laps onboard, and later on, stop at the buffet and make a coffee or tea for my wife, and a plate of assorted breakfast pastries to bring to her at a more "reasonable" 7 :)  we usually end up eating a real breakfast around 8.

    We sail on the Liberty of the Seas out of Galveston on September 24th -- all systems go!  I may be in the minority here, but I think it would be darn pretty cool to be stranded on the ship a few extra days waiting for a storm to blow thru.  What better excuse to get out of work and take a few extra vacation days!

    Oh man, here we go:  (1) Lava Flow; (2) Mudslide; (3) Strawberry / Banana Colada.  As you can probably tell I like sweet drinks.  And the Mudslide with vodka, Bailey's chocolate and kahlua is amazing.

    We tried bringing food back to the room on trays once and it was a huge pain.  After waiting a long time for the elevators, being crammed in elevators packed with people, we didn't even want our food when we got back to the room.  We would rather pay the small fee and get room service if we really want to stay in the room.

    Based on the room number you posted in one of the other topics, I think a "6 on the Beach" would be appropriate!
