  1. That's awesome, thanks! I'm currently reading @twangster's live blog posting from St. Maarten that he linked earlier in this thread and getting excited for this December cruise :)
  2. I've heard nothing but good things about Bernard's tours, so it looks as if I'm going to book one for my Adventure cruise in December. I'm on the website right now, did you guys book tour #1 or #2? Thanks!
  3. I'm not the most imaginative Canadian LMAO! I'll leave that up to our PM with rubber duck socks and our curlers with the crazy pants :P
  4. No problem, glad I could be of service :) Have a great cruise!
  5. I have yet to see photos of my prison cell studio interior stateroom onboard Adventure and it's driving me crazy LOL. However, considering that these rooms were only added in the '16 drydock, I doubt that they required an upgrade :P
  6. I posted those actually to Cruise Critic (same username but with an underscore) yesterday morning as I happened to spot them on a Facebook group I belong to. We have a few members onboard right now and have been providing us with updates on the ship :)
  7. Yes, I am! I need to wave my wand and say the summoning charm "Accio Adventure of the Seas!" so that I can expedite my upcoming cruise LMAO. I love the lyrics of Captains and Cruise Ships btw :)
  8. Thanks for your input, I really appreciate this :) For Adventure then, I will probably plan to go to Giovanni's for lunch on one of our sea days (Days 2, 7 or 8) or check whether any of the restaurants are offering a dinner special onboard. Will they be included in the Cruise Compass? I'm definitely looking forward to trying Sabor on Harmony as you are constantly raving about it LOL.
  9. Thanks for the excellent explanation! So, there is a chance that FNDR may not be offered for my cruise? I guess my options are either a) pay individual pricing for lunch or b) BOGO for first two nights for dinner (which is available through the Cruise Planner). Are Chops and Giovanni's still $19 for lunch?
  10. To add to the list: Come Sail Away by Styx Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin Captains and Cruise Ships by Owl City Kokomo by the Beach Boys
  11. Thanks a lot OP, now I'm never going to get this song out of my head LMAO.
  12. Also made the cut for Best Cruise Ships for Fitness & Recreation, Best Cruise Ships for Shore Excursions, Best Cruises for First Timers, and Best Cruises for Families!
  13. So pleased that Adventure made the cut for best overall, am booked on both her and Harmony this year and next :)
  14. It's the same itinerary as my December 8th cruise. 8 night Eastern from Fort Lauderdale, ports of call Labadee, San Juan, St. Maarten, and St. Kitts. Can't wait!!
  15. Hello everyone, I have two solo cruises booked on Adventure (Dec 2018) and Harmony (Dec 2019) and am intrigued by the specialty dining offered by Royal Caribbean. I would like to try one or two restaurants, preferably for lunch on sea days as I really like the MDR experience at dinner. I am completely flexible, however, and would like to book at the lowest price point available as I am cheap LOL. Which of these options would you recommend for someone trying specialty dining for the first time? First Night Done Right BOGO 2 night dining package Booking individual restaurants for lunch (Note: I do not see an option for FNDR in my Cruise Planner for my Adventure cruise, only the BOGO.) Thanks ahead in advance, Christine P.S. Matt, if you're reading this, I'm glad I decided to listen to your advice and book Harmony :) See, Oasis-class ships aren't scary!
  16. I was actually looking at booking a cruise departing from San Juan and then I learned that Air Canada and WestJet cancelled flights until spring 2018 :( Looking forward to visiting San Juan in December on my Adventure cruise as I've never been before and heard wonderful things about the old city. I really feel for those poor people though and everything that they have been through these past six months.
  17. OpenAire's head office is based in my hometown, I could practically visit them LOL. Here's the write-up on their website for reference.
  18. Thanks for confirming, probably 25% is max discount for this package then. Better than nothing!
  19. The February 2017 RCB group cruise sailed a nine-night Southern Caribbean itinerary on Navigator from Miami to Labadee and the ABC islands. Matt kept a terrific live blog of his family's journey, you can start reading it here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/02/14/navigator-of-the-seas-2017-live-blog-cruise-preview :)
  20. I was logged onto the Cruise Planner earlier this morning and this package was 20% off right now for my December cruise on Adventure. I'm not planning on buying it now, going to wait until later in the year. I think it was 25% off Black Friday weekend last year.
  21. On my Disney cruise last year, we were in Grand Cayman end of March and weather was really nice :) I really enjoyed my Stingray City excursion and am hoping to return soon! On an unrelated note, I received an email from my mother who is currently on a cruise and was docked in St. Thomas yesterday. It's just no fair goddamnit, it's -8 C (18 F) right now :(
  22. I know the feeling, love solo travelling myself :D Looking forward to my first solo cruise on Adventure later in December!
