  1. I haven't had one on a cruise yet, just googled the ingredients and the red part is strawberry and the white part is banana. So the mango lava flow was mango with banana.
  2. What's the difference between a lava flow and a mango lava flow? Do they just add mango, or do they replace the strawberry or the banana with mango?
  3. We're watching her closely, as we fly from EWR to MCO on the 9th. While I'm not concerned about the Oasis in the seas at the time, I'm concerned about our ability to get to Florida if she's still down in that area OR if she's turned up the coast and affecting my ability to leave. Worse comes to worse, we get in the car Friday after work and start driving down. Plenty of time to get there by Sunday.
  4. Awesome! That's great to know. I'm sure Jason P is keeping a close eye on our pricing for us!
  5. Good point. We have a 12 night repo in Oct 2018 and with only 5 ports we are planning on the drink package for my husband only. We are travelling with friends and the husband can really pound those beers so he is sold on the drink package. The wife and I enjoy a drink or two per day, but that will be about it. The only way the drink package is affordable is for just the one of us to get it - 12 nights is a big number to multiple by per $55 day. Not sure what we will do if they make it mandatory for both to have the same package. Probably not get it, I guess.
  6. You got it! I will do my best! Ooohhhh! Thanks for the tip on how to spot him!
  7. So here's a question; now with the non-refundable deposits it's not possible to have your TA re-book for lower prices? My deposit was $900; there is no way a price would drop more than that to cover that as savings. Hmmmm...
  8. We had a bad one in 1997 on a repo from San Juan to NYC. The seas from SJ to Bermuda were so bad they put out bowls of Dramamine for people to take as they wanted. Most of the passengers were sick, many crew sick too...it was horrible. I was pregnant so of course I couldn't take anything! We met a nice couple in Bermuda who told us about these wonderful pressure point bands you wear on your wrist that were in the ship store. We bought two sets when we got back on later that day and wore them the rest of the trip to NYC. We were very surprised they were not sold out! 20 years later, I still have them and they've gone on every cruise since.
  9. I accept your mission John; we'll be on Oasis Sept 10 and will do my best to find Lindell and have a Lindell Special. Sounds like something we will love!
  10. We've sailed out of NJ in March on Quantum and even though it was freezing in NJ there was so much to do inside on board we could still do a lot of boat activities. We did not go to Bermuda but we had such a cold winter in 2015 that I can't imagine it had warm enough waters to swim in. We have been to Bermuda in November and the water was great. As for what to do on the island, it will depend on the age of your kids. Mine were teens, so they were into pretty much anything we wanted to do. We got bus passes and explored all the sights, including finding the one part of the island we felt uncomfortable in. We wanted to take a bus to see a lighthouse; once we got there, there was no one else around, light house was closed, and the next bus was an hour away. Luckily we had stopped at a small market before hand so we had snacks while sitting and waiting for the bus. The area we went thru was very much local, no touristy folks like us anywhere. We spent a lot of time in St. Georges, met some interesting ladies that were on a trip to the university to study birds on a bus ride. Got to witness an amazing Remembrance Day ceremony. Found a little place to eat amazing cinnamon rolls that we went back to every morning for breakfast. Waited out a rainstorm in a changing area on a gorgeous rocky beach area, stomping thru giant puddles on the road & in the parking lot from the storms. Witnessed the school children taking the public bus home from their day at school; the respect they have for the bus drivers and just being amazed at the differences in these children and those in America. I would recommend researching Bermuda online, maybe even borrowing a travel book from the library, and find some sights to see in case the weather is not cooperative. I wouldn't hesitate to go back any time of year, to be honest, we had so much fun.
  11. My teens had their own room on our Quantum cruise in 2015. Neither were 18, and there was no problem putting them in their own room.
  12. Quite often they write down your cabin number on a pad...and when ordering say in a big venue they take your card and walk away, no idea of who you were. But there would be an issue with buying alcoholic beverages if Dad takes son's card...LOL
  13. My husband, two adult-sized teen boys & myself were booked in a 4 person balcony room on Quantum. We received a phone call one evening from our travel agent, saying they had received a call from RCCL offering to move us (at no additional charge) to two connecting balcony rooms. Same deck, similar location on the ship, but two rooms instead of one. Of course we accepted, and loved having plenty of space to move about! I have to admit, I was a bit nervous about not knowing when they were coming back to the cabin at night, but that trip they didn't spend much time in the teen club as they had on the previous cruise, so wasn't toooooo nerve-wracking for me. LOL
