Royal Caribbean is starting the Wave season promotions early this year with a special promotion that allows guests to stack multiple discounts.

Royal Caribbean's "Vow to WOW Sale" offers buy one guest, get the second guest 50% off, plus 50% reduced deposit, and onboard credit.

The amount of onboard credit is as follows

• Interior & Ocean View staterooms
  • $100 onboard credit per stateroom
• Balcony staterooms
  • $200 onboard credit per stateroom
• Suite staterooms
  • $300 onboard credit per stateroom

The promotion is available for all open deployments, excluding China departures as well as Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas.

Buy One, Get One 50% off is combinable with the adjoining onboard credit offer, Crown & Anchor discounts and NextCruise offers. Buy One, Get One 50% off offer is not combinable with restricted rates (for example, Seniors, Residents, Military, Kids Sail Free). 

Onboard credit offer is combinable with restricted rates (for example, Seniors, Residents, Military, BOGO, Kids Sail Free) as well as NextCruise offers. OBC offer is not combinable with Crown & Anchor discounts.

Promotion is valid for cruises booked between November 17 and December 31, 2014.

Royal Caribbean is beginning a brand new promotion for the month of November, where guests can get up to $1500 to spend onboard.

Royal Caribbean is working towards getting rid of those last-minute deals on cruises in order to promote more long-term cruise planning.

Royal Caribbean Chairmand and CEO Richard Fain spoke to analysts during last week's earning call, “Last-minute discounting is a significant source of discontent to many of our early-booking guests."

Fain indicated that a “more consistent approach on pricing” has been reached because of reducing of cabin capacity in 2015 when Royal Caribbean will have more of its cruise ships based in Asia.  This will reduce the supply of available staterooms in the Caribbean, which Royal Caribbean hopes will increase the profitability of each sailing.

This may in turn lead to less passengers depending on how aggresively Royal Caribbean prices itself.  Fain believes in the long term, it will work out, “we think it will raise the satisfaction level of our guests and strengthen the perception of our brand superiority.”

The big question is if Royal Caribbean can actually achieve this sort of change, which Fain cites will be “a source of quite a bit of upset” for early birds. For Royal Caribbean to make this work they will need industry capacity to remain stable in any region as well as avoiding the big PR nightmares that can sour market demaind.

Royal Caribbean is offering two new sales in one. Book any Royal Caribbean cruise (excluding Quantum of the Seas or Anthem of the Seas) before the end of October, and you can take advantage of these two offers:

• Buy one guest, get one guest for 50% off
• When booking air accomodations through ChoiceAir, get an additional 5% off the first and second guests.

The new cruise deal is good for bookings made between October 2 - 31, 2014 on all ships excluding Quantum of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas and all China departures.

The deal is valid on all sailings between September 14 – December 31, 2014, excluding Quantum of the Seas.  Bookings must be made on September 13-14.
