kyliem
Has anyone done the El Yunque Rainforest Tour in Puerto Rico? Wondering if it is worth it. Also, it does not say anything about eating lunch? Do they stop for lunch or..?
DocLC
When is your cruise? The reason I ask is that I heard that the rain forest was hot pretty hard during the hurricane. This, I'm not sure how great the experience will be.
Matt
I went there on a land vacation. Beautiful, but quite hot and humid (it is a rainforest, after all). Need to just ensure you are prepared physically and clothes wise for hiking.

Mrsbeaker1127
Last I heard the El Yunque was closed indefinitely due to the hurricane. This may change before your cruise. If you do get a chance to go it is a beautiful place. bcarney
KLA
This was an excursion that was cancelled for us due to the post-hurricane port changes in October, but in all of our research we saw great reviews and it looked absolutely gorgeous. Hope you're able to go by May!
kyliem
Sooo just got an email that our excursion has been cancelled for this hike. I have attached a screenshot. I am confused, because they have canceled our reservation and refunded us the money. However, we are still showing that we are scheduled to go to Puerto Rico. So our itinerary hasn't changed at all. It was $55 per person on a Black Friday deal, and now I am seeing in Cruise Planner that we can purchase that same excursion that they just cancelled on us for $70 per person. What the heck?? I know someone on this thread said the forest was closed indefinitely due to the hurricane, but I am wondering why they are still selling it online if it is closed? abm234
I was just looking into excursions in San Juan for a March 2018 cruise. I'll be following this thread...let me know what you decide to do instead.
