kyliem Posted November 23, 2017 Report Posted November 23, 2017 Has anyone done the El Yunque Rainforest Tour in Puerto Rico? Wondering if it is worth it. Also, it does not say anything about eating lunch? Do they stop for lunch or..? Quote
DocLC Posted November 26, 2017 Report Posted November 26, 2017 When is your cruise? The reason I ask is that I heard that the rain forest was hot pretty hard during the hurricane. This, I'm not sure how great the experience will be. Quote
Matt Posted November 28, 2017 Report Posted November 28, 2017 I went there on a land vacation. Beautiful, but quite hot and humid (it is a rainforest, after all). Need to just ensure you are prepared physically and clothes wise for hiking. Quote
Mrsbeaker1127 Posted November 30, 2017 Report Posted November 30, 2017 Last I heard the El Yunque was closed indefinitely due to the hurricane. This may change before your cruise. If you do get a chance to go it is a beautiful place. bcarney 1 Quote
KLA Posted November 30, 2017 Report Posted November 30, 2017 This was an excursion that was cancelled for us due to the post-hurricane port changes in October, but in all of our research we saw great reviews and it looked absolutely gorgeous. Hope you're able to go by May! Quote
kyliem Posted December 15, 2017 Author Report Posted December 15, 2017 Sooo just got an email that our excursion has been cancelled for this hike. I have attached a screenshot. I am confused, because they have canceled our reservation and refunded us the money. However, we are still showing that we are scheduled to go to Puerto Rico. So our itinerary hasn't changed at all. It was $55 per person on a Black Friday deal, and now I am seeing in Cruise Planner that we can purchase that same excursion that they just cancelled on us for $70 per person. What the heck?? I know someone on this thread said the forest was closed indefinitely due to the hurricane, but I am wondering why they are still selling it online if it is closed? Quote
abm234 Posted December 31, 2017 Report Posted December 31, 2017 I was just looking into excursions in San Juan for a March 2018 cruise. I'll be following this thread...let me know what you decide to do instead. Quote
