Scotsman Posted November 20, 2024 Report Posted November 20, 2024 Does anyone have previous booking experiences with these rooms highlighted in pink? Are there any downsides given the size? Quote
Pattycruise Posted November 20, 2024 Report Posted November 20, 2024 LOVE the large cabin. The walk to the wind hammer and dining room ( at least 3xa day!!) can get tiresome if this is Oasis or quantum class. another draw back can be the anchor sounds when docking. We had the front forward facing on the starboard side and the corner on deck 11 Anthem and it was annoying. I stayed on deck 7 on Radiance in forward facing and wouldn’t do it again, crew space was below us with a heavy metal door banging shut, movement is a lot more noticeable in the front of the ship if you are prone to motion sickness I would not recommend these cabins. Cactus527 Posted November 20, 2024 Report Posted November 20, 2024 LOVE. I stayed in a forward-facing Ocean view on Allure. I would absolutely recommend it for all of the extra space as well as the view. Maybe one time the entire 4-day cruise did I ever feel motion of the ocean! Quote
VeronicaS1970 Posted November 21, 2024 Report Posted November 21, 2024 Stayed in one on Liberty, absolutely loved it. Would book again. Loved the extra room and super wide hallway. Did not find it was too far from anything, but we don't mind wandering around. Quote
MarvinS Posted November 21, 2024 Report Posted November 21, 2024 My wife and I stayed in 9110 (port side front corner) on Ovation for a 9-day reposition (Vancouver, BC to Hawaii; with the ship heading on to Australia next) and absolutely LOVED the extra space in the room. To me, It felt like the area was the same as or slightly larger than a junior suite. The huge round window was at a slight angle and allowed us to see not only forwards but also directly to the port side. This was an awesome room. There were similar cabins above and below us, so noise was never an issue. Couple of downsides...it is a bit of a walk to get to when heading to the windjammer or elevators. There was a bit more motion in the front and could feel that more so than mid-ship or aft cabins. If you are very prone to sea-sickness, it might be an issue. One other "feature" of the room was that there was a short hallway in front the of room and the regular corridor with another door. You had to use your seapass card to go through two doors in order to get to your cabin. The outside door allows entry to the short hallway and access then to doors for 9110 and also to 9108. This was never an issue, but something to be aware of... Scotsman and asquared17 2 Quote
