JohnK6404 Posted June 12, 2024 Report Posted June 12, 2024 I guess it’s never too early to start the roll call! Can’t wait! This will be my first trip to Europe. My wife has been to the UK many times as a child (my MIL is British and has/had family in England & Scotland). She’s been to Paris once, but has not travelled to any of the other locations/countries we’ll be visiting so this should be an amazing trip! Traveling with two other couples (our family and friends from past sailings). The planning is ramping up! This will also be our first cruise as Diamond. We sailed Allure back in 2019… our first Oasis class experience which was absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to see what they do during her amplification! FionaMG, TessFromFlorida and WAAAYTOOO 1 2 Quote
TessFromFlorida Posted June 15, 2024 Report Posted June 15, 2024 I am traveling just three weeks later on Allure, same itinerary I managed to talk my sister and her family into joining us, so we will be a group of 9. It will be their first time in Europe as well. I can't wait to follow along as you and your friends and family plan out your port days- I may steal an idea or three WAAAYTOOO and JohnK6404 1 1 Quote

FionaMG Posted February 24 Report Posted February 24 My check-in just opened! I was furiously refreshing the page and it finally opened at 12.05 am ship's time, since she's already in the right part of the world. I was able to grab the earliest boarding time for my party of 5: 11-11.30 am. Now I have only 46 days to worry about them getting all the work finished on time! TessFromFlorida Posted February 24 Report Posted February 24 @FionaMG Are you able to see the new restaurants in the planner? Quote

This is everything in the Cruise Planner under Dining... nothing new is listed. Sabor is gone of course (assuming for Playmaker's), but we're curious where they plan on having the Samba Grill? I'm still seeing the exact same as @JohnK6404. Sabor is still showing up on the app but, of course, the app is never reliable this far out. JohnK6404 1 Quote

FionaMG Posted March 1 Report Posted March 1 Just now, TessFromFlorida said: @FionaMG Anything unexpected? There's Mamma Mia, Blades (ice skating) and Blue Planet (production show). There are also adult comedy shows in English and in Spanish. No aqua show, so I don't know if they just haven't loaded it yet or if they're not going to do it on my sailing. That would be disappointing but not entirely unexpected given it's only a 4-nighter and early enough in the season that there's a strong likelihood of weather-related cancellation. I would expect it to be up and running for your sailing. JohnK6404 and TessFromFlorida 1 1 Quote
JohnK6404 Posted March 1 Author Report Posted March 1 Since we've sailed on Allure in the past and this itinerary is so port intensive (5 ports including 3 all-day excursions in Italy), I'm thinking we'll probably just book Mamma Mia, the ice show, and the AquaTheater show for our May sailing. We loved all three of those shows back in 2019. Blue Planet is skippable! We'll see... maybe we'll book it just in case! FionaMG 1 Quote
FionaMG Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 Mason Jar has just shown up in the app for my sailing. Not bookable at the moment and still not in the CP. WAAAYTOOO and JohnK6404 1 1 Quote
JohnK6404 Posted March 10 Author Report Posted March 10 Just an FYI for anyone sailing/travelling/flying to the EU this year. They have officially suspended the rollout of the ETIAS program until the last quarter of 2026! One less hoop to jump through during our travels this year! JohnK6404 Posted Saturday at 01:07 PM Author Report Posted Saturday at 01:07 PM Entertainment just opened up this morning... 50 days to go! Skipping the comedy shows and no entertainment booked on our 3 looong 10-hour Italian port excursion days! FionaMG and TessFromFlorida 2 Quote
JohnK6404 Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago Woo hoo! Thank you all for confirming the check-in time for our local time zone! We were a little confused the other day since it was our first time sailing out of another time zone. We’ve always sailed out of Cape Liberty or one of the big 3 ports in Florida which is our time zone. I was able to check in my wife and I (and the other party) just after 7:00 PM (Eastern) tonight. Earliest boarding time is 11:00AM-11:30AM. Another huge thanks for the tip of using the Royal app to jump right in to select the boarding window! We’ll complete the rest of the check-in later at our convenience! 46 more days! Quote
