Hello,

Has anyone ever booked back to back cruises on different ships in Ft Lauderdale and Miami? The cruises I am looking at are on Oasis of the seas out of Ft Lauderdale and then Freedom of the seas in Miami. Is it easy or possible to disembark Oasis and make it to Freedom on the same day?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the board

These cruises are not considered back-to-back as that involves staying on the same ship. I have done many side-to-side(S2S) cruises, which involves leaving one ship and getting on another with a short time period.

I have done this trip enough times to say it is indeed possible and fairly easy.

I currently have a MIA/FLL/MIA S2S2S scheduled.  FLL and Miami are relatively close as I often fly into FLL and sail out of Miami. I would say it's about 45 min with traffic. In most cases you can get off as early as 7:15 but even if you don't leave until 9am, you can make it between the ports in enough time to be there before boarding officially starts.

Very easy with absolutely no need to rush at all. You could debark Oasis and even stop for breakfast with plenty of time to spare.

I've heard Royal might offer a shuttle to take you to the other port, but I don't recommend it as they usually go to the airport first for drop off.   Spend the $35, jump into an uber and go straight to the ship.

I read recently that they no longer offer complimentary transport from port-to-port.  There is a fee now ($35) if what I read was accurate.  Who knows,...

Even more reason to just uber to the port.   I didn't know that, thanks for sharing!
