Tmsmit16
We are have a stop in St Thomas but will only be in port from 7-2. What is the best option should we do an excursion with Royal, go to Meagans Bay, take the ferry to water island or will we have time to go to St Johns? Oneoftheks
Not enough time to get to St John and be sure you can back unless you do a RC excursion. There will be plenty of open air buses right at the dock to take you to Megan's and back don't need a RC excursion . tonyfsu21
Open air bus to Megan’s Bay is the way to go. This is a great ride and very scenic. I understand Megan’s Bay has been rated up there with the nicest beaches in the Caribbean. ChessE4 and CruzOnBye
VACruiser
I did that ride January 24 to Megan's Bay on an open air taxi. Just be prepared with all the correct money for the ride and also the entrance to Megan's Bay. The bus was $8 per person over the hill to the beach and then the entrance to the beach was $7 per person - they like exact numbers if you can. The ride back over the hill was an adventure. The brakes were smoking and smelled like it on the way down. When we get down to the bottom the driver asked who wanted off at the shopping district and no one replied so he got angry and asked for money from everyone before he would take us back to the ship . It seemed odd but we all payed up and he took us back to the port area. CruzOnBye
dr martini
Other posters are correct and you definitely do not have enough time to get to saint johns and see or enjoy anything.
