Royal Genies - What can I ask for?

My wife and I are currently booked in a Grand Loft Suite on Odyssey OTS for Feb 25.  I have never been in a Star Class suite before and am very curious as to what and how much I can request from the Genie.

I have watched Matt’s YouTube video on using the Genie, but am still a bit unsure how to request things like the porter, my boarding time request, reservations at the specialty dining venues, laundry and on and on.

Is there someplace where I can find a list of options?  Does the Genie reach out with a checklist of items I might want, for example, how do I request that I want  certain sodas and sparkling waters stocked in the room refrigerator?

Welcome to the SC addiction !!

There are SC amenities listed here

But it only really touches on the big stuff.

You will do best to just wait until the Genie reaches  out to you.  The Genies are all different.  They have different styles and different strengths (and weaknesses) but the basic standards for SC will be met or surpassed no matter who you get.  They generally reach out about 30 days prior to sailing (give or take) and they will tell you what kinds of things you can expect.

In general, all dining, entertainment and boarding/disembarkation details are fully covered.  There are lots of folks on these boards who can give you specific information if you have specific questions.

Which GLS do you have ?

Thanks for your response.  We are in 8722 and our genie is Sergii Klimov.  We just got his email but he did not mention meeting us anywhere, that there might be a special porter for embarkation or laundry services or stocking the refrigerator with sodas.  

Regardless, we are very excited to be in a GLS!

Nice room.  I'm glad to see that you avoided the "corner" GLS as they are much smaller than the center ones.

You will have all of those things (escorted embarkation, laundry service any time you want it and almost any beverages that you desire in your cooler) and much more.  As it gets closer to embarkation, I'm sure he will advise you about all of this.

In the meantime, I recommend that you start making of list of the restaurants that you would like to eat at and the shows you would like to see and start sending that information to him.  I especially advise that you let him know if you want to do the Chef's Table and/or the Izumi Hibachi as those 2 things are most likely to sell out before boarding.  Lately, Genies have been advising their guests to go ahead and reserve (and pay) for both the Chef's Table and Izumi Hibachi to ensure that you get times and dates of your choosing.  The money that you spend on any advance reservations will be refunded to you once onboard.

You are in good hands with Sergii. We just had him for NYE. The genies will send emails as you get closer to sailing with instructions for arrival.

The best advice we can give is be up front with your genie with your wants/needs. As others have said, each are different. We've loved every genie we've had. We've had a couple that we weren't thrilled with until we realized we weren't communicating our preferences. Turns out, they are good at what they do but unfortunately can't read minds so we started being more up front. Once we did that, they knocked it out of the park. Shout out to Shane, Leticia, Augustina and Smitha. They've all been all-stars!
