Wheeler825
Shopping for travel insurance after rolling the dice all last year on 8 or 9 trips. Looking at allianz, if I add my wife and I and my 7 year old that is 3 travelers. That really racks up the price. Should I only be having 1 traveler, as I'm the one that pays for the trips? I'm a little confused.

Travel insurance is about way more than just the cost of the trip itself.

Do you want all 3 of you to receive benefits upon a claim, or are you going to file a claim to get your cruise fare refunded and/or emergency airfare home and then eat the cost of the other two? smokeybandit
It's insurance. The more people on the policy, the more expensive because that's the potential for more cost to the insurer. If all three of you missed your cruise because the flight was delayed, that would cost the insurer more. If all three of you were in a car accident during an excursion and needed medical care, that would cost the insurer more.
