What scuba excursions at what ports have you done? Have they generally been worth it, or have you found other better means to book certified dive excursions while on a cruise?

I'm going on Symphony myself and would love to get into a 'sold out' PADI Open water course. Thoughts? Any idea if that would ever be possible? It was listed as sold out even on the day we booked about 2 months before cruising

We usually use ship towels, but we pack a couple of those microfiber for excursions/off ship. Just easier and smaller.

Shopping for travel insurance after rolling the dice all last year on 8 or 9 trips. Looking at allianz, if I add my wife and I and my 7 year old that is 3 travelers. That really racks up the price. Should I only be having 1 traveler, as I'm the one that pays for the trips? I'm a little confused.

Routes are very easy. Think 5.7 or 5.8 at the very most.

I just got off Voyager and the bartenders were kind of shoving their tips into a pile under the computer/terminal like all in a pile.. So I expect they're splitting between bartenders at the same bar. Just an observation.

Bingo is a giant ripoff now. In 2014 I remember it feeling like OK value to play. Played in June on NOS and it was like $59 a package and 3 short games... def not worth it.

I'm doing my first back to back in September. As of right now, both sailings I have the same stateroom(I'll try to royal up, but ya know..). What is the process for back to back cruisers? I have to actually get off the ship, then get back on, at some point... right? Do I need to take a day bag as well? Assuming corridors to the rooms will be blocked off until all rooms are prepared? Is there anything else I need to keep in mind?

You'd think, but they could also let the smaller port market go to other cruise lines, who can and do charge an even higher premium. I guess it depends on the RCCL business decisions they make

I have done one sailing eating at the MDR since the menu change and I wasn't impressed. The portions are really small, and its just lacking. Enchiladas on Mexican night were plain, small and nothing I couldn't get at any Mexican restaurant in WIsconsin. NY strip I had one night was the most pathetic paper thin chunk of steak I've ever seen. The other meals were so unremarkable I can't even remember them. For a cruise line that used to have great food and be lauded for their ability to serve so many guests the great food, they should completely remove that aspect from advertising now.

I do believe it is the same, ordered and delivered from the Chops kitchen. I really enjoyed Chops when we ate there twice in February

Can you provide any more details? How long do you get to swim? Is it just one cenote?
