Marlena
Looking for any insight anyone has for New years eve sailings. What kind of "special" menu was offered etc? We start our cruise on dec 31st and wondering if they automatically make it dress your best or anything like that.
Ampurp85
I don't do holiday sailings, but I have seen a couple of live blogs from them. I recall they were selling seats on the promenade, in your case it will be the Esplanade, for $1k pp. I believe it included one or two drinks but imagine paying to sit at Sorrento's . I also think they charge for a more upscale menu at certain specialty restaurants on top of the original cost.
Marlena
We will absolutely not be spending any extra $$ for esplanade seating! Lol. Um wondering if the MDR new years extra were anything interesting .
Ryan79
I was on Harmony for last New Years and there was nothing special at the MDR and it was not a Dress Your Best night.
mom2mybugs
I was on @Ryan79 cruise as well. Frankly, it was a hectic meal trying to do sail away and then get to mdr. It wasn’t officially dress your best but many people did dress up. There were New Year’s Eve hats at the tables, and the food was good and significantly cheaper than the inflated specialty prices for that night! It was before the menu streamline, and I’m not sure how that impacts. I wish I could remember what I ate…I think there was a special desert I didn’t see the rest of the cruise.
