Raven
Hi! When leaving the Galveston Cruise Terminal via uber/lyft has anyone experienced extreme surge pricing? I'm considering pre-booking but I'm worried that something may keep us from getting off the boat in a timely manner. Advice?
lkg276
As a rideshare driver my advice is to leave the ship early while there is plenty of drivers in that port area. Usually as the morning progresses drivers become less and less and that's what causes surges at any port, airport, stadium. At Port Canaveral the surge usually happens around 9:15 -9:30 if you see the prices surge just close your app for 10 min or so and then recheck prices. CruiseGus
I did b4b on Allure early May this year and on the weeks I stay I checked both Lyft and Uber (off site p/u corner) and both surged as @lkg276 said later in morning.
